I don't own Transformers.
This will be a three part story, of all of the kids getting to see their Guardians. I decided that we needed some fluff after all of the tragedy on here, so here ya go.
xXEpic Line BreakXx
Gray-blue eyes closed, as Jack rolled over under his blanket. So much had happened today- his graduation, receiving his diploma- but there was one thing that would have made it better.
Being able to see his closest friend, who had protected him for three years: Arcee.
One year ago today, the Autobots had left for Cybertron, and the children hadn't seen them since. Only Ratchet remained, going back and forth between planets. He had told them, one fateful day, of Optimus's death, of the Prime giving his life for Cybertron. Miko had screamed, and cried, leaving the Autobot base with Agent Fowler.
Jack himself had cried some, not as much as Miko. Every so often, tears would form in his eyes, demanding to be released, but Optimus's dying wish had been that they do not mourn his death.
On the table next to him, his phone buzzed, and Jack rolled over, grabbing the phone, and squinting as he flipped his phone open. "Miko?" he mumbled. "What's up?"
Miko sighed. "I miss them." Her normally cheerful voice was somewhat choked, and Jack could hear her sniffle. "I miss Bulkhead."
Jack hesitated. "I-I miss them too, Miko."
The girl was silent, and a soft sob came across the line. "Um… s-see you tomorrow." With that, she hung up, and Jack shut his phone, setting it back where it had been before. That was odd; normally Miko was much more talkative.
A soft voice came from the doorway. "Jack?" The teen looked up, seeing his mother in the doorway. "There's someone here to see you."
"Oh, um… Give me a second." June nodded, walking out of the threshold. Jack threw the blankets off, not caring that they landed in a heap at the foot of his bed. A loose fitting tanktop and pyjama pants were his only adornment, and he shivered, walking out of the room after his mother. To his surprise, she was standing in front of the garage door, and opened it when he stopped.
Arcee crouched in the garage, a small smile on her faceplates as Jack walked in with wide eyes. Both were still for a moment, before Jack moved, hugging as much of his Guardian as the size difference would allow. "I missed you, Jack." Arcee said softly. "Congratulations."
"I-I missed you t-too, Arcee…" he whispered back.
June laughed softly. "Go get changed," she ordered. "You have a ride to go on."
