The sun comes over the horizon as Ichigos eyes slowly open to the sunlight. He gets out of bed and heads towards the bathroom. He brushes his teeth and washes up. As he heads down stairs he hears someone scream his name. "Ichigo!!!!!".
He runs downstairs to the kitchen to see that it is filled with smoke. He sees his mother fanning down the oven. "Ichigo!" "Didn't I tell you to clean this oven last night?" "Great, now its ruined". "Does that mean im not going to have breakfast?" Ichigo asked. His mother let out a sigh and walked out the kitchen. Ichigo grabbed his book bag and headed towards the door as he yelled to his mother "well, I told rukia and renji that I meet up with them today before school so Ill see you later".
He walked out the house and down the street. "Geez, sure is hot". Ichigo thought to himself. He finally reached the corner where rukia and renji usually meet. No one was there. He looked and looked around. no one. no cars, dogs barking, or people walking by. "Something is not right here and I get the strangest feeling that im being watched". He brushed off the feeling and kept waiting.
After waiting for about 30 mins, ichigo started to get worried. "Where could they be?" He decided to go see orihime to see if she knew anything. As soon as ichigo picked up his foot to start walking rukia jumps out of nowhere scaring ichigo. "WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU?!?!" YOU SCARED ME HALF TO DEATH!". "Im sorry , i didnt meant to", said rukia, almost out of breath. "What's wrong?" asked ichigo. "Its renji she said" "HE'S IN GREAT DANGER RIGHT NOW!" "WHAT?!" "WHERE IS HE?!?!" "he's by the park". "Well lets go!" said ichigo.
The two arrive at the park. They see renji dead ahead. Ichigo transforms into his soul reaper form and runs towards renji. "what's going on here" ichigo asked. Renji, bloody and breathing hard replied, "there….in the shadows…a ….hollow, but, its one I've never seen before". "heh" ichigo said. "Sounds more like a challenge to me". Before ichigo could strike, the door to the soul society opens and captain uziki comes out. He spots the hollow and with a single blow of his flash step he destroys the hollow. He looks at renji and ichigo, shakes his head, and goes back into the soul society.
Renji and Ichigo stood there in confusion. "what in the hell just happened?" asked ichigo. Rukia replied " I kinda told my brother about what was happening while i was looking for you ichigo". Ichigo replied, " so your telling me that i missed half a day of school to stand around and watch your "show off of a brother" kill a hollow?!?!" "sorry". Said rukia. " I dont know if you guys have noticed but umm im still bleeding to death here" said renji.
Rukia and Ichigo took Renji to the closest hospital. " He should be better in a couple of hours" said the doctor." what happend anyway?" " wellllllll we got into a umm fight over the last peice of chicken and well ya it got kinda violent". Said rukia. "Well im going to go to orihime's house, why dont you stay here and watch over renji for me?". "Alright, I guess" , said rukia. later ichigo is at orihime's house.
"hey ichigo!" "how come you wernt at school today?" "its a long story, I'll tell you about it some other time". "Ok i guess, so what brought you over ichigo?" "Came to get the homework?" "haha. ya right.". " Actually I came to see if there is something you wanted to do today". "well actually... I wanted to go to the mall today". " Oh really?" " What did you want to go for?". "I wanted to go shopping, you know Rukia's birthday is coming up right?" "Ya I know." "Well lets go" Back at the hospital with Rukia and Renji. "How are you feeling Renji?" "Ok I guess, nothing serious." "nothing that I cant fight past". " Well that's good" "Say…. Mind if I ask you a question?".
