One-shot!
I haven't posted any stories in a while (I kept deleting them)
So this is going to be one of the ones that I keep on my account.
P.s: Episode 45
I own nothing!
Enjoy!
"Pearl," Steven shouted her name as he struggled to lift himself up onto the piece of floating ground after almost falling to what might have been his death. Pearl, however ignored him. She placed her hand onto her face and a small sniffle erupted from her nose.
"Pearl, you have to tell me what's wrong." Steven's voice was soft and you could still hear the sound of crickets from down below them.
"Sometimes," Pearl began, "you even sound like her." Her voice shook a little at the end as if she was struggling just to talk to him.
"Do you remember this place?" Pearl placed her hand onto the grass. "Do you have any of her memories?" She began to clutch the grass under her fingers. "We were right here, over five thousand years ago."
Pearl was shocked to get an answer from the young gem. "Of course I do, my brave warrior." Pearl immediately spun around to come face to face with the woman she missed so much for so many years.
"R-Rose," Pearl stuttered as she starred upwards at her leaders face in shock. Rose Quartz chuckled and stroked Pearls soft skin. "B-but how?!"
Rose just smiled and shook her head. "Let me worry about the details." Tears gathered in Pearls eyes and she began to sob into Roses white dress. The mother figure just petted Pearls hair and listened to her loud sobs.
"You've grown so much Pearl." Rose whispered as she ran her fingers through Pearls hair. "I'm so proud of you!" Pearl blinked and looked up at the woman who was once her leader, eyes all red and puffy from crying.
"You are?" Rose just smiled and hugged Pearl once more before pink light engulfed her body completely. Steven sat in the place Rose once stood. Pearl just sat there starring at the place Rose once was.
"I think you're pretty awesome." And once more the tears began to flow.
