With You

The air was crisp and clear
Wind blows softly through your hair
Pulling it back, like a brush
It combs through the grass
The cool, ever welcoming grass
Moonlight shines so brightly
Reflecting off the lake, its mirror
Dark shadows whisper in the trees
Black figures dart in and out of the tree line
But are repelled by the light
For their bodies are not real
They are our every fear
Our lost hops and angry thoughts
Pulled into many different forms
But they do not scare me
Not anymore
As long as you are here I am safe
I feel so warm inside
It's almost harder to breathe around you
But even in this beautiful place
With all of its magnificent wonders
I'd rather be with you
Give it all away
To stand by your side
And I would prefer
To be in pain and have tried
Then stay here in this false sense of happiness
This paradise
