Into the Garden
Crossing down the stairs of memories
Passing through the corridors of time
Lies a hallway shadowed in by the mistakes of those who lost their will
Slowly decaying into pieces expiring as you grow older and more fragile
Walking through the scent of mystery got me thinking
And I asked myself; if love is not a word or emotion…what good is it?
Each step taken I leave a tear to remember my failures
Time is but a window to me, and I chose to close it for good
While all these flaws bothered me like flies
Each one presenting a powerful message that I refused to accept
Then as the air became denser and thicker
A smell grabbed my nose that made it curl up into a shell
The flowers around looked at one another
Butterflies soon filled the room spreading their wings of beauty
And I…I wondered about the afterlife
Inhaling the stench from the butterflies left me both emotionless and tired
My mind was pulling the covers up while my soul tucked it in
All that was left of me was my spirit
Never a moment in my life where I had no one to talk to
Soon all my worries would be no more
And I would have all the answers right in front of me
Speak once and not be punished…speak twice…too late
Love walked by you, and you didn't recognize within yourself
Coming to a wall you have a choice to make
From all those confusions you endeared
Close your eyes and wake up
Look through the wall…and continue
Though be warned
Continue on and you shall lose all memory of loved ones
But you shall create a more powerful being
Even greater then a god
Ahead of you lies an ocean
Waves collide against each other in angst
Seagulls scream the beauty of the sunset
Ambient rays of light pour from the sky
The sound of your lover is not too far off
You took a chance and opened your eyes
Darkness signaled you weren't there
But when you closed them, you appeared in the same spot
Walking through the moonlit sky
You surpass a book of thoughts and desires
Do you dare open it?
Or let the course of time takes it toll?
Using it to your advantage you remember the place where you began
And opening the door of wisdom
You stepped out into the light…
And into the garden of knowledge
