Hey all, this story has been kicking around in my head for a while. comments are welcome.
Nate sat across from the stranger who had walked into his bar asking for him. She wore dark sunglasses over her eyes and carried a blind person's cane. However Nate knew that meant nothing. People were never as they appeared. He and his team were living proof of that.
"Why did you come to me?" Nate asked casually trying to get a feel for this blind woman who claimed her name was Tiffany.
"You help people don't you Mr. Ford? As hard as it is to admit it, I need help. Please, help me find him. His name is Elliot." Tiffany replied running a shaky hand through her shoulder length blonde hair.
"Do you know his last name?" Nate asked now growing suspicious. If this unknown girl was here for his hitter, there would be hell to pay.
"No. he changes it often so I haven't any clue as to his last name. I can tell you he has a deep southern voice and blue eyes." Tiffany replied softly, looking sad and lost.
Nate wasn't sure what to think when he looked beside him and there was Elliot looking heartbroken and angry.
"Tiffany, what happened?" the hitter growled out making Tiffany jump in surprise. Her face snapped to the direction the sound came from and she looked relieved.
Taking her glasses off her face she showed Elliot and Nate that not only was she blind, but her eyes had been completely removed. The tissue around them was scarred as if by a chemical had burned it. Nate and Elliot both shuddered and looked equal parts horrified and sick.
"I was caught on my last job. And tortured beyond anything you could imagine. They took my eyes Elliot." Tiffany said calmly.
"who?" was all Elliot could ask.
"Our parents" came the reply.
