Hello~ This is what, my fourth fanfic up here? Yes.
I originally wanted this to be for an English assignment, but it's probably too graphic...
I hope that you like it...
He ran through the woods, trying to escape from the darkness quickly advancing.
"No! What do you want?"
Come with us, and we will spare you, the voices said from deep within the dark.
"Never!" He struggled to escape.
Now, now , the voices said, we won't hurt you. Why don't you come with us and leave this dump of a world?
"N-never!"
Hehehehe…..the voices laughed.
"Go-go away! Why can't you leave me alone?"
Because we need you.
"Why?"
Because you are the energy we need for us to thrive. Inside of you is a dark energy that will show itself soon enough.
"N-no! I don't believe you!"
Ah, but you cannot wave off something you don't know about, now would you? Think of all the power you would gain, the voices crooned. They were getting closer, their twiggy little arms scratching at Gilbert's back.
We know you want it, so why won't you join us? They crooned hauntingly. They reached towards Gilbert, grabbing for his snow-white hair and tried to pull him back.
"Stay-stay away from me!"
The black sludge kept on moving, tailing his every step.
This is your fate, Gilbert, accept it!
"NO! I refuse!" He suddenly sped up and ran faster than he had ever gone. Yet the black sludge ran at his feet, oozing slowly.
"Get- get away! I mean it!" Gilbert began to cry. "Why?" he wailed.
We want you, Gilbert, they wailed. Come with us! Please? We have all that you could ever want~!
"N-No! Just leave me alone!"
Gilbert, Gilbert, Gilbert~, they sang. Their voices were sharp and cracked. It hurt Gilbert's ear.
Suddenly, a branch flew in front of his face. Gilbert stopped, but a split second later, he realized that this was a fatal mistake.
The sludge held onto his arm. Its sludgy mess warped into a smile, a crooked sinister smile, and spoke in a childish voice:
We'll be together forever and ever, Gilbert! We'll play games and- suddenly the voice turned sinister- and kill you! Wouldn't that be fun?
"NO!" But it was too late. Already the sludge had engulfed his whole body. Gilbert stuck his arm out, but no one was there to help him. He yelled, but was soon muffled by the sludge.
Soon, the sludge burst up in smoke.
That was the end of Gilbert Beilschmidt.
Um...did you like it?
