"Link Start!" Kirito and Sonic said
The two of them started entering the virtual world.
Touch: OK
Sight: OK
Hearing: OK
Taste: OK

The two of them started typing their accounts. They click enter and another menu appered.

"Character Registration Beta test save data found. Would you like to use this data?"
They both clicked yes.
"Welcome to Sword Art Online."
The two of them started entering inside.
* Hollow Area, Dec. 2024... Or 1*
Inside the forest was pieceful as there was no danger nor anything. Everything was calm. Then, someone was running threw the forest covering her face. She was breathing heavily. She looked back to find if anyone was there. Then, Kirito and Sonic both logged in at the same time with the same clothing. The female looked then trip's from a tree. She hit's both of them. Kirito hit's the ground. Sonic fall's but's get back up. The girl rolled on the ground but got up very quickly and took out her sword and started charging at Kirito and Sonic. Sonic took out his sword and started charging at the female. The two of them both slam each others swords as sparks go everywhere. The female soon run's passes Sonic and charges at Kirito next.
"Watch out!" Sonic said
Kirito looked and saw the player charging at him. The female tried to attack Kirito but he mange to duck under the attack. Kirito took out his sword and started attacking her. Sonic came in as well to help Kirito. The three of them slam swords together. The female attacked once again but soon after, Sonic and Kirito both see the color orange on top of her head.
"An organge player?" Kirito thought
"Who the heck is she?" Sonic thought
The two of them attacked the player but the player mange to block it. A very hard slam on the swords. The three of them were lock on swords.
"Who are you two?" The player said
"Us? Who are you?!" Kirito said
"Who the hell are you?!" Sonic said
Then, something landed right in front of them. The three jumped back and looked. The female player was getting to fight. Kirito and Sonic were both shock. When the dust cleared out, it was floor 75's boss. The Skull Reaper.
"A s-skull reaper?!" Kirito shock
"What's it doing here?" Sonic said
"(That's the boss that slaughtered most of Assault Team back on the 75th floor... What's it doing here?!)" Kirito thought
"Damn... I thought I'd given that thing the slip. I guess I've got no choice but to take it on..." The female player said
"Hey, you there! Do monsters like this usually appear around here?!" Kirito said
"Do they?" Sonic said
"I'm not interested in talking to the likes of you." The player said
"The likes of you"?! I think you've made some kind of mistake..." Kirito said
The Skull Reaper roared.
"Watch out!" Kirito cried
"No!" Sonic cried
Kirito and Sonic started attacking the Skull Reaper.
"W-Why are you two...?" The player said
"(If I'm able to deal with that thing by ourselves, its parameters must be lower than they were back on the 75th floor. Still, I seriously doubt it's the kind of oppnent that'll just let us slip away without a fight...)" Kirito thought
"Listen... It seems like you're able to fight a bit..." Kirito said
"What are you talking about?" The player said
"How about we put aside our difference until we've got that thing out of the way?" Kirito said
"After this, you could continue not liking us." Sonic said
"Wh-Why do you think I'd joj forces with-?"
"We'll deal with its sickle blade. You attack it from the sides!" Kirito said
The Skull Reaper roared once again. The Skull Reaper attacked Kirito but Sonic dodged the attack very fast.
"Tsk..."
"Why would you hell me? How do you know I won't just stab you in the back?" The player said
"Maybe you will. I've got no idea... But you want to live, right?" Kirito said
"Please, just join us." Sonic said
"-"
"If you do, then we've got to beat this thing. I guess this goes without saying, but I don't want to die either." Kirito said
"Okay... I'll help you, just this once." The player said
"Thanks... Now, let's do this!" Kirito said
*Battle The Skull Reaper*
Kirito: LvL 100
Philia: LvL 96
Sonic: LvL ?
The three of them charged at the Skull Reaper. Sonic and Kirito were attacking it from the front while Philia attacked from the sides. The Skull Reaper try's slashing them but Sonic pushed it back away from them.
"Great Sonic!" Kirito said
"No problem!" Sonic said
"I never seen someone block a attack with no effort. He just pushed it away with one swing..." The player thought
Three of them continue to attack The Skull Reaper. The Skull Reaper was about to slam the ground but Sonic spin dash at The Skull Reaper canceling the attack.
"Great work Sonic! All that grinding must of payed off!" Kirito said
"What can I say." Sonic said
Sonic and Kirito both go on both sides and attack it from the sides. The Skull Repear jump's back and charges it's next move. He jump's up and start's coming down on top of the three of them.
"Sonic!" Kirito said
"I got it!" Sonic said
Sonic homing attack's the Skull Reaper. The Skull Reaper get's hit by the homing attack and fall's from behind it's back.
"Hurry! Before he get's back up!" Sonic said
Kirito and Philia started attacking the Skull Reaper as fast as they can. The Skull Reaper's HP was red and almost empty.
"Now's your chance Sonic!' Kirito yelled
"Got it!"
Sonic come's back down and stab's the Skull Reaper. The Skull Reaper exploded and diappered in thin-air.
"Oof... (pant) Phew... Looks like we did it..." Kirito tired
"That was a skull reaper? I've never seen a monster like that before..." The player said
"It looked just like the boss on the 75th floor..." Kirito said
"Why did apper here in the first place?" Sonic said
"But what's a floor boss doing here?" The player said
"Good question... Still, this one was a lot weaker than the one down there. If this one had the same attributes, there's no way the three of us would have stood a chance against it." Kirito said
Silence...
"Now, I know we weren't seeing eye to eye, but I'd really prefer not to fought you if possible. Do you think we could avoid doing that...?" Kirito said
"..."
"I mean, if we done something to upset you, We are really sorry..." Kirito apologizes
"You could continue you life and still be upset at us." Sonic said
"You're not one of them? Really?" The player said
"One of them"? Who are you talking about?" Kirito said
"Is there something you know but we don't?" Sonic said
"I guess you can't be... You can see it, though, right? My cursor?" The player said
"Yeah... It's orange." Kirito said
"Doesn't that mean anything to you? How can you be so. Cassual about it?" The player said
"Well, We noticed it straight away, but it didn't see. like the right moment to bring it up... So, if i ask you about it now, will you answer me?" Kirito said
"You don't need to ask me. I'll tell you. I killed someone..." The player said
"...!"
"It's ture. That's why you shouldn't get involved with me. So, I guess this is goodbye... Thanks for helping me out back there."
The player walk's away.
"Hey, wait a second!" Kirito stopped her from leaving
"What? Didn't I just tell you not to get involved with me?" The player sakd
"Yeah, you did but... There's something else I wanted to ask you. I really just want to know... Where exactly are we? I mean, I know we're inside SAO, of course..." Kirito said
"I don't know where we are. I got thrown in here about a month ago... And it's been a struggle for survival ever since. I haven't had time or explore out where I am." The player said
"A month ago?! Does this mean... Is this anto-crystal area?! But hold on... We can still use everything..." Kirito said
"Yeah. There's a lot I don't know about this floor, out at least it seems we can use items and messages like normal." The player said
"Do you have a teleportu crystal? If you don't, let us give one. We got plenty." Kirito said
"Need one?" Sonic said
"No thanks."
"Y-You."
"Hollow Area data access restrtictions have been lifted." The System Message said
"Wh-What was that just now?" Kirito said
"What's going on?" Sonic said
"Y-You're...th-that..."
"Huh?"
"That patten that's floating about your hands..." The player said
Sonic and Kirito looked at their hands to see something glowing.
"Wh-When did this happen?! It wasn't there a minite ago! Is this something to do with that announcement about access restrictions being lifeted..." Kirito said
"Give us answer!" Sonic said
"Just who are you two, anyway?" The player said
"What do you mean...?! Anyway, the real question is, where exactly are we? What in the world is this place?!" Kirito said
"I don't really know... Listen, can I take closer look at your hands on you two...?" The player said
"Huh? What are you going to-?"
"It's the same. Of course it is..." The player said
"The same? The same as what?" Kirito said
"You seen this before?" Sonic said
"That pattern, I've seen it before. In this place that I know.." The player said
"Well, maybe if we go there, we can figure out what's going on. And it's not like we've got any other clues to go on. How about we head there right away? Ahem...I mean... if it's all right with you, would you mind showing us where that place is?" Kirito said
"I guess I don't mind. But are you really so willing to trust an orange-no, a red-player?" The player said
"Well, it's not like I've forgotten that you've got an orange cursor... But you helped us out when we were fighting that Skull Reaper." Kirito said
"I guess that's ture..."
"We put our lives on the line and fought at each other's sides. In SAO, I think that's enough for me to trust you. My name's Kirito. What's yours?" Kirito introducing himself
"Name's Sonic!" Sonic introducing himself as well
"Philia."
"Nice to meet you, Philia..." Kirito said
"Great seeing you here." Sonic said
"Heh..."
"What?" Kirito said
"Is it something we said?" Sonic said
"I just can't work out if you're really friendly or really stupid..." Philia said
"I like to think I'm a pretty good judge of character..." Kirito said
"Me too." Sonic said
"I suppose I should be flattered. then... Now, let's get going. I'll lead the way..." Philia said
*At The Location*
The three them make it to the location.
"It's just down this hill here!" Philia said
"Got it! Let's go." Kirito said
The three of them started running. Yellow Pulses and Ancient Blasters appeared everywhere.
"Sonic, you know what to do." Kirito said
"Got it."
Sonic homing attacks every enemy in sight. Soon after, every enemy exploded and disappered in thin-air.
"Great job Sonic!" Kirito said
"No need for thanking. It's apart of my job. Now let's continue!" Sonic said
The three of them continued to run foward. While running, they soon see 5 Powered Skeletons.
"Sonic... you take care of the two at the left!" Kirito said
"Got it!"
Sonic charges at the two Powered Skeletons.
"Philia... You take the one from the right!" Kirito said
"As you say." Philia said
Philia charges at the Powered Skeleton at the right. Kirito charges at the two in the middle. Sonic attacks both Powered Skeletons with one attack. The two disappered in thin-air. Philia dodged every attack from the Powered Skeleton. She than strikes when the timing was right. The Powered Skeleton dispper's in thin-air. Kirito stab's both Powered Skeletons with his two swords. They were powerful attacks. The Powered Skeletons disappered in thin-air.
"Theres more at the beginning." Sonic said
"Let's go back then." Philia said
The three of them ran back to the beginning. As they soon made it back to the beginning, they saw three Orc Crushers. The three of them attacked the first one which soon after's disapper's in thin-air. They started running towards the second one and started attacking it. Soon after, The Orc Crushers disapper's in thin-air. They charged at the third one. They all did their special attack at once at the Crusher. The Crusher soon disapper's in thin-air.
"Now that's done, let's continue." Sonic said
The three of them continued there journey.
*Selvendy's Forest Area. The Offering's averdant Guide.*
The three saw more Yellow Pulses and Crushers. They charged at the enemies and attacked all of them with there attacks. Soon after, they all disappered in thin-air. They continue running until they finally stopped in front of a cave.
"If we can get through the forest on the other side of this cave, we can reach a place with the same design." Philia said
The three started entering the dark cave.
*Inside The Cave*
"Just what is this place, Philia? There's no floor number disaplayed or anything..." Kirito said
"Apparently it's called the Hollow Area..." Philia said
"Hollow Area...?"
"Do you remember how you came here?" Philia said
"Erm... I was exploring this dungeon with Sonic, and we noticed that we were being wrapped in this kind of light... Them all of a sudden we found ourselfs transported here. Ot was kind of similar to using a corridor crystal, I guess..." Kirito said
"A sudden teleportation..? That's pretty much the same thing that happened to me. There is one thing that's diffrenet, though... That symbol on your guys hand..." Philia said
"You don't have one?" Kirito said
"Is it something no one seen before?" Sonic said
"No. And I've never seen any other players with one either." Philia said
"Huh? There are other players here besides you?" Kirito said
"Yes... There is something strange about them, though..." Philia said
"What do you mean, something strange?" Kirito said
"It's hard to explain. It's probably better if you see for yourself." Philia said
"Okay. Let's do that. So, where is it we're heading exactly?" Kirito said
"You can see that thing over there, can't you?" Philia said
Sonic and Kirito both looked.
"Oh, that thing..." Sonic said
"Oh, that sphere? Have you been inside?" Kirito said
"No... I can't go inside. Maybe I could if you were with me, though... I mean, it's showing the same symbol that you've got on your hand..." Philia said
"I'm starting to think that beating that skull reaper is what caused this symbol to appear..?" Kirito said
"I haven't got one, though... Maybe it's got something to do with your skills?" Philia said
"I've never head of a skill that would cause something like this to happen..." Kirito said
"Me neither..." Sonic said
"The designated time has been reached. The aptitude test will now start." The System Announcement said
"Wh-What was that?!" Philia said
"Designated time...? Aptitude test...? Do you have any idea what's going on, Philia? " Kirito said
"No. There's no point in asking me!" Philia said
"It did say "aptitude test", though, right?" Kirito said
"I'm pretty sure that's what I heard, yeah." Philia said
"Well, I've no idea what that might be... But it sounds like it could be fun! I guess that passing the test involves fighting our way through here..." Kirito said
"Do you always get this optimistic when faced with a situation like this?" Philia said
"Look at it this way: there's no way we can avoid this test, right? Besides, I just can't help getting exicted at the thought of exploring someone new." Kirito said
"I think I'm starting to lean towards "really stupid" over "really friendly." Here I was worriws about to do the whole time..." Philia said
"Hmm? Did you say something?" Kirito said
"No... Nothing..." Philia said
"Right... You know, I've been thinking, I don't have any information at all about this area. Philia, could you give me all the data you've got about the eneimes you've fought around here so far? Also, if you've got anything about status ailments or items drops... Oh, and-" Kirito saix
"Okay, okay! Don't ask for everything at once. you'll confuse me!" Philia said
Monsters soon apper.
"Oh no..." Sonic said
*Coliseum of the Ravenous. Trial of Excellence.*
The three of them started running foward. They see two crushers and a Mighty Boar. The three first attacked the Might Boar with their strong attacks. Soon after, the might bear disapper's in thin-air. They charged up at the first Crusher. The Crusher swing's it's sword around but the three of them dodged it. They counter it with their heavy attacks. Sonic spin dashes threw the crusher and disapper's in thin-air. The three continued running. They took a left and saw one mighty bear and one Crusher. Sonic and Kirito were attacking the Crusher while Philia was attacking the Mighty Boar. Sonic and Kirito both did their special attacks on the crusher as did lots of damage. The Crusher disapper's in thin-air. Philia slashes threw the mighty bears's face as it disappered in thin-air. The three continued running foward. They then take a right and continue running straight. After running straight for a little bit. They then take another right. They soon see a open land with three crushers. Sonic charges at the left Crusher. Philia charges at the Crusher in the middle while Kirito charges at the one in the right. The three of them attacked all three of them at the same time. Sonic stab's the Crusher in his stomach. Philia slashes the Crushers head apart and Kirito stab's the Crusher from behind. The three Crushers all disappered in thin-air at the same time. Soon after, they continue running only to see three more Crushers.
"I'll take care of this." Sonic said
Sonic start's running very fast around the crushers. Seconds later, A huge tornado was covering them. Sonic then stops and so does the tornado. When the tornado vanished, huge cuts were around the Crushers bodies. They all disappered in thin-air.
"Let's continue." Sonic said
The three of them continued to run. They turned a left just to see two more Mighty Boars and Crushers.
"I'm actually getting pretty tired of this." Sonic said
Sonic spin dashes threw all of them with a single attack. They all disappered in thin-air. They continue running. Soon, they see three Crushers and a Mighty Boar.
"Just throw me so I can slash threw them." Kirito said
"Got it!" Sonic said
Sonic grab's Kirito's legs and start's spinning him around. The faster he got, the more powerful the attack will be.
"Get ready!' Kirito said
"Let's do this!" Sonic said
Sonic let's go of his legs as Kirito started flying towards the eneimes. He slashes threw all of them with a single slash. The enemies disappered in thin-air. After that, The three of them continued to run foward. They then see three Crushers and a Mighty Boar. Sonic jump's up very high and start's falling straight down towards the eneimes. Sonic stab's one of the Crushers threw the Skull very painfully. The Crusher disapper's in thin-air. Philia does her special attack the second Crusher as it did maximum damage to the Crusher. The Crusher disapper's in thin-air. Kirito stab's the Might Boar's Skull and stab's the Crusher's head as well at the same time. The two disappered in thin-air. Once those were done, the three continue to run. They took a right and ran foward for a little. Then, they take a short right to see the actual enemy. Beefy Bull Horn. They charge at it and start attacking it. Kirito stun's the Beefy Bull Horn. They attacked it more while it was stun. As soon the Beefy Bull was not stun, he quickly slash the three of them. The three continue to fight the Beefy Bull as it was dealing lot's of damage. Then, they all did their skills at the same time dealing massive damage. Then, the Beefy Bull disapper's in thin-air. They continue running foward then taking a right. They walked foward until they finally made it to the end.
*Hollow Mission Complete!*
"Clearance confirmed. The verification phase has completed." The System Announcement said
"Huh? Verification...phase...?" Kirito said
"That announcement again..." Philia said
"..."
"Hmm? What is it?" Philia said
"Oh, I'm sorry... I was just thinking, that's all." Kirito said
"What about?" Philia said
"About this Hollow Area. Lots of things about it make me curious. I mean, what was up with that test? And what's a verification phase?" Kirito said
"And! Did you come to any conclusions?" Philia said
"No...but I've got plenty of theories. I can't prove any of them right now, though. I need to collect more information..." Kirito said
"I see." Philia said
"What's wrong? You look disappointed." Kirito said
"You don't seem like yourself." Sonic said
"It's just...I've been investigating this place for ages and I still don't understand anything... Now if you showed her and solved all the mysteries in a couple of hours... well, that'd be kind of annoying, that's all." Philia said
"I haven't solved anything yet, though..." Kirito said
"Hmmm... But if you do, I don't think I can keep calling myself a treasure hunter." Philia said
"Treasure hunter...?" Kirito said
"What does that mean?" Sonic said
"Well, that's what I call myself. It's not like SAO has any jobs or anything. But you see, I don't care so much about fighting monsters or clearing quets... I'm more suited to finding treasure that have been hidden in various dungeons. I mean, there are a lot of important items that are crucial if you want to survive here. That's why I decided to become a treasure hunter." Philia said
"I see... isn't that dangerous, though? Fighting battles by yourself is really though..." Kirito said
"It's fine I've mastered the trap-disarming and searching skills, you see." Philia said
"Wow... That's pretty amazing..." Kirito said
"The lockpicking skill is my particular specialty, though. I've never come scross a treasure chest I couldn't open. No matter how powerful the monster guarding a chest is, I'm confident I can use my stealth skill to sneak past it and lockpick my way to the treasure." Philia said
"Wow... That's really impressive. Would you show us those skilss in action sometime?" Kirito said
"We will love to see them." Sonic said
"Hmmm... I guess it depends on how long we're going to be together... Still, if I get a chance, I'll give you a glimpse lf what I can do.. But that's enough of that for now. I think we've got our priorities all wrong here. There's another teleported uo ahead. We just need to make it through here..." Philia said"It's the device! Let's go." Philia said
"Ah!"
*At The Location*
"That's it!" Philia said
"That's the device, huh?" Kirito said
"Look's weird." Sonic said
"Well, here it is..." Philia said
"You were right. It's exactly the same symbol..." Kirito said
"It is, isn't it? I think this must be the way into the sphere. Are you going to give it a try?" Philia said
"Okay... Like this?" Kirito said
"Yeah, maybe... Yes, look. Your symbols are glowing..." Philia said
"It looks like your theory was right, Philia. Nice work, treasure hunter!" Kirito said
"Great work!" Sonic said
"Hmm. Now, I don't know what's waiting for you two inside the spehere... But I'm pretty sure you're going to uncover some of the secrets of the Hollow Area." Philia said
"Yeah. It sure looks like it contains a few secrets. We agree with you there." Kirito said
"So... Do you mind if I come with you two?" Philia said
"Of course we don't mind! We assumed you were coming with us anyway! Let's go!" Kirito said
"Okay..."
The three of them were telaported to the sphere.
*At The Sphere*
The three were inside to see lots of codings, menus and the Aincrad map.
"Bingo! Jist as I thought." Philia said
"Wow... So this is inside the sphere?" Kirito said
"Look's like were trying to hack inside the game." Sonic said
"It seems that way..." Philia said
"I don't see any eneimes..." Kirito said
"Wha?! Hey... This area looks like it's classified as a safe zone!" Philia said
"Wow, you're right... But if that's the case, then what about the guardian?" Kirito said
"...Looks like it isn't coming." Philia said
"What's going on? This is different from the usual rules..." Kirito said
"But if that's really the case, we should be able to safetly search around." Philia said
"Yeah, I suppose. Let's split up and search the area, then." Kirito said
"Let's first go to that keyboard over there." Sonic pointing
Sonic run's to the keyboard. Kirito and Philia follow him.
"Huh? This is... There's a console here with some kind of list... What's this? "Element Implementation"? So apparently this place is called the Administartion Area... What in the...?" Kirito said
"Prermission to access confirmed A teleportation object leading to the Administartion Area will be unlocked. A teleportation object has appeared in the Hollow Area" The System message said
"It's the objecy with that design that we used to come here..." Kirito said
Philia noticed something and walk's toward's it.
"Hey! Come over here for a sec!" Philia said
"What's wrong?!" Kirito said
"This thing... I think it's a teleport gate, but it looks kind of different..." Philia said
"That must be what it is, though... Well, this is good news, isn't it?! We'll finally be able to get out of here!" Kirito said
"Getting out of here... That sounds nice, I guess..." Philia said
"What's the matter, Philia? You don't look very excited about the idea..." Kirito said
"Don't I...?" Philia said
"Erm... Does this mean you're not going to come with us?" Kirito said
"That's right. I'm not coming with you. You go ahead. I guess this is goodbye. I'm glad we met. It's been fun." Philia said
"Well, okay... We'll go back by ourselves, then. We can come here again any time we want, though. As long as the teleport gate's active." Kirito said
"..."
"This Hollow Area inerests us, you see. There are just so many unanswered questions. For example, isn't it weird that there are boss class monsters wandering around in the field? The other monsters we came across were pretty unusual, too. And I find it really odd that we can't see the labyrinth tower. I thought that was visible from anywhere in SAO." Kirito said
"Yes. That is strange..." Philia said
"Also, don't you think there's a good chance we can find new weapons amd powerfull skills in a place like this?" Kirito said
"That will be awesome!" Sonic said
"Hee hee... I do think so. And I know exactly how you feel. Well, listen... if you do ever decide to come back, send me a message. I'll come and meet you here." Philia said
"Will you be able to get into the Administration Area? Without this symbol, I mean." Kirito said
"Hmm? This is the Administration Area? Well, I tested it out and it seems that since I've beem her oner , I can com back whenever I like." Philia said
"Great. We'll get in touch the next time we're here!" Kirito said
"We promise!" Sonic said
"I'll be waiting. Not that I'm getting my hopes up..." Philia said
"Ha ha! Take of yourself, Philia. See you soon!" Kirito said
"Bye!" Sonic said
Kirito and Sonic both teleported away leaving Philia behind.
"See you soon, eh... Maybe I could try teleporting..." Philia said
Philia try's teleporting but it didn't work.
"System error. You are unable to teleport from the Hollow Area. The System Announcement said
"Why? What is it about me...?" Philia said

Hey everyone, MySonicFan here and yep. Hollow Fragment is the one of the video games. This chapter only took a few days, but I was able to finish it a little faster. So I hope everyone enjoys this story. The next story is... Sword Art Online: Lost Song, so look foward for that. It will come out sometimes this week.
The second thing is when SAO: Alternative Gun Gale Online 2 weeks. I will be doing that first before I can continue the video games. So look for foward for that in 2 weeks.
The last thing is that my own story of Sonic at my second account will be published this weekend, So I hope everyone is excited about that.
