"It's finally my birthday...I guess I'll have to celebrate at home all alone again this year…" Nozomi thought as she walked through the empty hallways and suddenly someone tapped her shoulder and Nozomi turned around and saw Eli with her hands behind her back.

"Ericchi? What's behind your back?" Nozomi asked curiously and Eli just smirked and showed her a box of tarot cards.

"Since it's just our first year here and you're my first best friend and it's your birthday so...here." Eli said shyly as she gave Nozomi her gift and Nozomi blushed and felt really special that Eli remembered her birthday. She didn't even expect that Eli was listening to her while working in the student council.

"Ericchi...thank you." Nozomi said as she hugged Eli tightly, as her eyes began to water.

Eli smiled and said, "say, Nozomi...I'll be going home early, okay?"

Nozomi unwrapped herself from Eli and said with a smile, "Sure, Ericchi...Thank you for the gift!"

Nozomi watched Eli walk away and thought, 'Ericchi...I want you to stay.'

….

Nozomi went home after her shrine maiden work and lifted the pot beside the door and saw that her apartment key wasn't there.

'That's...unusual.' Nozomi thought as she looked at the door and slowly grabbed the doorknob and was surprised that it was opened and as she went in she saw Eli sleeping at her kitchen table with two parfaits on the table and a letter.

Nozomi smiled and said, "Ericchi, you're full of surprises…"

Nozomi approached the sleeping blonde and poked her on the cheek and Eli just groaned and Nozomi thought it was cute.

'This is probably my chance to fulfill my wish…' Nozomi thought as she slowly leaned in on Eli's ear and whispered, "Ericchi, I love you…"

Eli smirked and surprised her "Fooled you, Nozomi!"

Nozomi blushed and said with a surprised tone, "Ehhh?! You weren't asleep?"

Eli kept laughing and Nozomi pouted and huffed, "Ericchi, you're mean."

Eli stopped laughing and patted Nozomi on the head and said, "Sorry, Nozomi. I'll never be mean again...I have one last present to give you before we eat our parfaits."

Nozomi gave Eli a questioning look and asked, "what is it?"

Eli leaned in and caught Nozomi off guard and kissed her on the cheek.

Nozomi blushed and became flustered and Eli asked playfully, "Ara? Are you flustered, Nozomi?"

Nozomi hid her blushing face and said with a flustered tone, "Ericchi, you idiot."

Eli giggled and asked playfully, "Nozomi, are you always going to react like that when you're officially mine?"

Nozomi looked at her and asked shyly, "officially...yours?"

Eli stood up and hugged Nozomi and said, "I love you too, Nozomi."

"You won't be lonely anymore...because I'm here." Eli added and Nozomi smiled and muttered, "Thank you, Ericchi."

….

After they ate their parfaits, Eli made Nozomi read the letter that she wrote and Nozomi opened it and it said:

Dear Nozomi,

Happy birthday. I am greatful that you came in to my life even though I'm super awkward...I just want to say that I love you and I hope that we will both get through things together.

Love,

Eli

Nozomi realized that she was crying and immediately wiped them and Eli just smiled at her.

"Thank you, Ericchi...this was the best birthday ever." Nozomi said as she smiled at Eli with joy and Eli stood up and kissed Nozomi's forehead and said, "You're welcome, Nozomi."
