Quick little drabble focusing on the brothers, Vash and Knives. Total word count for this chapter was 257, because I know you care. Enjoy!

A/N: I'm trying to post this story again, because last time I did, it wouldn't show up on the site. Hopefully this time it'll work.

It had been a tough fight, but in the end, it was well worth it. Knives, of course, never agreed completely with the concept of working with humans, but that was alright. The humans never really agreed with the concept of him to begin with.

Vash, on the other hand, was delighted to have as much of his brother as he ever had. Not that he ever saw him much, but when it was, it was peaceful. Well, maybe not peaceful...

...this was Knives we're talking about here. Still, the bickering was a far cry from the all out war that the elder sibling had once wanted to start.

Day in and day out, Vash would wake up to Meryl cooking breakfast. He'd eat like there was no tomorrow, pat her head and tell her what a wonderful cook she was, give her a breath-taking smile and a wink, and head out. Then he'd travel to a place that he knew all too well; a barren and dry place where the trees and flowers still hadn't grown back. One, old, bent tree remained and one, young, upright boy leaned against it. Vash chuckled to himself, almost unconsciously, and approached the boy.

No words were needed to communicate the brothers' feelings as their eyes locked and Vash sat next to his sibling. The two scanned the area that had been the site of their final battle, the earth cracked and unappealing.

Vash closed his eyes as a small smile crept over his lips.

To him, it was paradise.

Love the fluff, you know you want to. It's been a while since I've seen Trigun, and I know Knives would never be just.. peaceful with Vash since he's all.. RAWR! But for the sake of fluff, there it is. Hope you liked it, and I'll probably through another one up sometime soon, especially if you review
