Tales of Symphonia 2: Dawn of the New World

A/N: Okay. I've never written Alice, so bare with me. This is also the first EmilXAlice fic I've ever done, not to mention I've never seen any. I do support the DecusXAlice pairing, but EmilXAlice seems much more interesting, although Decus and Alice were adorable in-game.

Confrontation

"I would prefer being shot down by the one I love. Why? Because I know it'd be for all the right reasons."

Emil blinked at the blonde, unable to comprehend the fact that she had walked in and, instead of attacking, had walked up to him and asked him for help. Help with what, he wasn't sure. So, questioning came first.

"Help you?"

Alice nodded, a strangely serious look on her face, not to mention the fact that her whip thing was absent… "I… I wanna know what Mart-Mart is doing."

"H-Huh?!"

"I wanna know what Mart-Mart's goals are! Please, tell me, Emil! Commander Brute refused to tell us the whole story and now he's sane again, so he can't tell me!" Alice half-whined to the human boy, sitting in the seat across from Emil. Emil had been in Altamira's dining area when she had waltzed up to him and asked him such a ridiculous question.

Emil blinked, "Why should I tell you? You're trying to kill Marta!"

Alice blushed, looking away before beginning again, "I-I was thinking about betraying Richter!"

"Wh-Wha-"

"Don't get me wrong! Richter… He's a nice guy and all… But…"

Emil blinked, "Are you- Are you finally realizing the release of the demons is wrong?"

Alice blinked, almost falling over. Almost. "We- Y-Yes! That's it! You're right! The thought of it… A world filled with demons…"

"It's mortifying."

"You have a nice vocabulary, Emil…" Alice commented, causing the other to blush at her compliment.

Emil shook his head, "N-Not really…"

"So… Is that what Mart-Mart's goal is?"

Was… Emil thought, before speaking, "Yes. To make sure she awakens Ratatosk and he can stop Richter."

"Well… I-I wanna help."

Emil sighed, "You… You can't."

Alice growled, "Why not!? Is it because I hate Mart-Mart either way!?"

Emil shrugged, "That's… That's one of the reasons… But what about Decus? And even Richter… Both of them have feelings, after all…"

"Fine! If that's how it is!"

"H-Huh? Alice? What'd I say…?"

"I wish he would just open his eyes and see how much I love him!"

A/N:: Just a quick, crappy drabble. I figured maybe if I gave the EmilXAlice couple a kick start it may actually become a liked couple. I realize I made Alice kinda shy and bratty, but I normally don't write female villains who have the potential to be heroines. I also don't write HeroXPotential!Heroine. Not my thing, normally, but a villain and a hero loving one another is always great.
