Hey guys! After I felt myself unable to continue the other things I dealed with it really calm and the same way I always do, when I'm just not satisfied:

Dumping them for the moment and do something else... *is just hating herself now*

So, my newest project is something about Touzoku, or the Thief King. I'm not sure if I want to call him 'Akefia' in this story, I have to think about that... well but I have to admit, that the progress here is much better here. Now I nearly finished five chapters... I'm really enjoying writing this. *cackles*

Okay, but now... this story will be about the Thief King, and a girl (no self insert here, even if I'm REALLY sorry about that... xD), yes, I know we got through that sooooooooooooo many times... excuse me! xD

Also this is only the Prologue, a small taster, the next chapters will be longer than this appetizer! xD

Let's go, shall we? I'm not owning Yu-Gi-Oh!, nor the epic characters you know out of the series, I don't intent copying ANY kind of scenes, figures or story-proceeding! If you might find ANY of theese or similarities, then I really didn't place them here on purpose.

Have fun!

The witch

Her place had ever been beneath the endless and cloudless sky of Egypt.

Whether it had been night or day... she loved to observe the sky, see the sun passing by or let her eyes trail over the wonderful twinkling stars.

The other kids, which had been sometimes playing in front of her house, didn't like her that much. In fact, she didn't like them either. She despised them, because they were intolerant, naive, stupid.

They had been bullying her every time they had glimpsed her bare feet dangling from the roof, bobing up and down with an unrecognisable music.

So she had prefered the night. Her onyx colored eyes closed a second, the small white dots were not mirrored by the dark surface while she thought.

Why was it so much easier to unleash pain than to bear it? Her right hand twitched a little bit as a short, but nevertheless piercing pain shot through her arm.

oOo

'HA. I couldn't care less.'

She looked downwards, her legs dangling from the roof as they ever did, her onyx eyes traveling over the group of children. The boy who had risen his voice until it reached her ears smirked upwards, his gaze cold and mocking.

'Now that's a pity, because Ozoph had at least some courage.'

She mirrored his smirk astonishing good.

'Pwah. Ozoph is weak compared to us all. Such witches, as you, are not worthy enough to live!'

The children frowned in her direction unisono. If she hadn't be in so much trouble now she'd laugh because of the ridiculous synchronization.

'Ah... now you thought about finishing me off?' She asked with a sweet voice, acomplishing to hold it clean of any emotion.

They nodded slowly. 'Did you think about how you want to do that?'

The large part of the children exchanged quick, uncertain glances. She smiled brightly.

'Just as I thought.' Her feet were again moving, the bare skin and the bones beneath it hiting the wall softly.

'You don't have it in you.' Her voice was piercing. One or two of the children flinched.

'If you want to kill, you have to want it badly. If you don't want it, then you're not able to steal the soul and life of another person.'

She felt their gazes on her as if they were wondering if she would be able to want such a thing. She had to admit, that she didn't know. She couldn't imagine what it would feel like...

'Let's go, everyone... we should surprise her the next time, when she's aware of our presence, than we'll never be able to expel her out of our village.'

They turned around, scolding quietly. The girl on top of the building waved. 'Bye, and good luck with that, you fools.'

Her eyes traveled downwards again to meet the brown ones of a shy looking girl. She didn't seem comfortable.

'Ozoph... is better.' She told the slightly older girl above her quietly.

She blinked. 'Why should I care?' Why did that voice sound that cold and menacing?

The girls brown eyes pierced her onyx ones. 'I know you didn't want to hurt him that bad... he captured you... you were afraid. E-even... i-if I'm not able to under-understand how you were able to... do such a horrible...horrible thing...' It was a mere wisper, the higher sitting girl had to lean forward to understand her words.

'Caneope!'

The girl flinched violently as she heard the angry voice of a woman, who had the same brown eyes. They were narrowed as her gaze spoted the girl on top of the abandoned ruin, that she dared to call a house.

'Come here! Now!'

'Coming, mother!' She cried and spared her the last of her thoughtful frowns, as she ran in the direction of her mother. The girl on top of the building was able to tell, that the small girl felt easier with every step she did on her way back to the near village.

oOo

Her eyes opened.

The small white points immediately lightening the nearly black, deep eyes.

When had that happened? It had to be years ago... no... actually it felt like one life... maybe more.

She sighed noiselessly.

Her arm twitched again, she looked down at her hand, that was wraped up with some dirty cloth.

She remembered stealing it from an old woman at the market, today had been a bad day.

Efena had been caught by the guards as she tried to steal some bread and one or two apples, one had to presume, that she had to be able to pick up the ability of moving her hands in the shadows, to do a few vanishing „magic-pranks" to the merchands... well... she wasn't. In fact, she sucked at that.

A quiet laugh escaped her lips and as she heard a rustling of clothes beneath her, followed by a fast and searching light of a torch, she fell backwards, drawing her knees to her chest.

She held her breath as somebody down there searched for the source of the disturbing and creepy sound of amused laughter in the shadows of a moonless night. She had to bit her lip hard, nearly feeling the blood pulsing under the sensitive skin, to prevent another bubbling of laughter.

As she wasn't able to hear or see anything, she bursted into chuckling. How she pitied that small and thoughtless slaves of the pharaoh, yes, she really did.

It seemed that they were neither able to think, nor to do something on their own.

She felt her lungs scream for air and fullfilled the quiet wish, drawing deep breaths of it into her body. Her eyes closed again and this time, they didn't open until the dawn. She fell into a deep slumber and as Ra claimed the sky to lighten the life of everyone, living in the city of his majesty, the sand colored roof of the house of the small family never looked, as if a „witch" had tainted it with her presence.

TBC...

It's done!

For those who wan't to know, what her name means, 'efeno, efena' is, if I remember correctly, a conjugation of an egypt word to it's past form, meaning 'to take'.

Praise and criticism are, as everytime, highly appreciated! And, the merciful writer I am, I also did you a small preview of the next chapter! And guess who'll show up! *grins* It depends on the amount of reviews you write! I'll post it next weekend at the latest. I'm looking foreward to it!

*leaves cookies and the preview*

He closed his eyes for a long moment, before he walked to his horse, slowly, trying to block out the whistling wind, that whispered hateful promisses in his ears, as he mounted the animal and rode in the direction of the capital, turned away from the rising Ra, his shadow tainting the beautiful, white surface, in his crooked, threating manner, like a dark prophecy, predicting his arrival.
