Be Nice
It had started out with Draco Malfoy not slipping something into anyone's potion during potions, or at least that was when the Gryffindors first noticed it. It was a week later when Ron finally realized it, "Merlin, Malfoy's being nice."
Herminie nodded and said, "I think it's got to be a bet or something, Pansy's definitely behind it."
Ron and Harry met one another's gazes before turning back to Herminie, Ron asking, "Why would you think that?"
Herminie grinned and said, "Because a couple days ago, Malfoy was about to call me a mudblood but Pansy walked in and he actually bit his lip to keep from saying it."
Harry and Ron were a bit surprised by this information; everyone knew Draco wasn't one to hold back with words, quite the opposite actually. Finally Ron and Harry, without letting Herminie know, decided to test her theory to see if it could possibly be true.
So the next day, step one of The PLAN went into effect, with most of the Gryffindor boys behind it.
It started in the great hall, when Draco Malfoy walked into the hall, bright and early as usual, Collin Creevy 'accidentally' bumped into him with a glass of pumpkin juice, everyone seemed to watch in slightly horrified fascination as Draco clenched his fists and locked his jaw before exiting the great hall without a word. Ron and Harry had watched with wide eyes, sure they had speculated about it, but they hadn't actually believed it might be true till that moment.
So the PLAN ended up going a bit out of control once everyone realized the Draco Malfoy, the boy who had taunted and teased just about everyone in the entire school, was no longer the cruel boy and would not retaliate. It seemed like every Gryffindor and Ravenclaw boy got in on the PLAN and everyone seemed a bit surprised when every time someone did something to him, Draco just left the room. For an entire day, this continued, and the Slytherins around Draco, began to look paler and paler, several looked to Pansy after every incident, as though expecting her to say something or do something.
When Draco arrived to breakfast the next day and was once again bumped into by this time Seamus with a glass of, this time red juice, Harry almost stood up and said something, hell, Ron almost stood up and said something. Draco looked like he was going to pull the leaving act again, that is till Seamus said, "Maybe you just shouldn't come to breakfast, you fag!"
The whole great hall got a good view of Draco Malfoy's self control snapping like a twig.
In the blink of an eye, Draco's fist connected with the Ravenclaw's face, and as the moment of the push slammed him backward into the floor it was followed by several more. By the time anyone could even register what had happened Draco had the poor guy pinned to the floor and was pounding into him.
It was an even bigger surprise when the Slytherins were the ones to actually save the Ravenclaw from a full out beating. Both Crabbe and Goyle grabbed Draco, each grabbing an arm so they could haul the boy back. As they got him far enough away from the unmoving Ravenclaw Draco snarled out, "You fucking piece of shit, I'll fucking…"
Blaise clamped his hand over the still snarling boy's mouth, carful not to get in the way of his kicking legs. Blaise frowned and turned to a wide-eyed Pansy and said, "I told you this would happen. Look what you did, you fucking broke him. Fix this!"
