Kagerou Days

A/N: Hey my little yaoi kittens, I'm going to re-write this little short story, as you all know, this song is by hatsune Miku, but I suggest you all listen to the version by 96neko, her voice suits the song much better, well that's all I had to say and I'll see you all in the next authors note in this story.

Summary: Everything started off as a perfect summers day with you, but everything changed when the Heat haze came and trapped me in an endless cycle of torture.

Disclaimer: I don't own anything

Warning: Character death, Blood/Gore

(Sebastian's POV)

Tick-Tock, Tick-Tock

A black cat, you running into the street, and a piercing scream is the last things I can remember as I desperately tried to stop you.

Tick-Tock, Tick-Tock

Now, I sit here in the middle of the street holding your bloodied body as hot tears streamed down my cheeks," please! Someone call an ambulance!" I cry as I tried to stop your bleeding, but it wouldn't help.
Your ocean blue eyes filled with so much life and happiness turned dull and lifeless as your heart beat one last time.

Tick...Tock...Tick...

It shouldn't have been like this, it was just suppose to be a normal day for us, but now, I wish I had just stayed in bed today, maybe if I did, none of this would've happened, no, it wasn't my fault, it was that heat haze that was to blame for all this happening.

It started on August 14th at 12:30, that is when this never ending nightmare began.

The sound of my alarm going off woke me up earlier than I wanted; I grabbed the nearest pillow and threw it against my clock, knocking it off the table and stopping the annoying ring so I could get more sleep.
Another alarm went off, but this time it was right near my ear causing me to jolt up, wide awake. I realized that it had been my phone and picked it up, my eyes widened when it said that I needed to meet Ciel at the park today.

I quickly jumped out of bed and ran over to my dresser and threw on a white T-shirt and some jeans, I got my black jacket, keys, and phone as I opened the door to the blinding sunlight.
I locked the door to my house and ran down the sidewalk to go meet my boyfriend at the park.

When I got there, I was panting as I saw Ciel, a boy with short navy blue hair, pale skin, and ocean blue eyes, petting a black cat that sat on his lap with a sweet smile on his face.

" Ciel!"

He turned his head at the sound of his name and motioned for me to come over," hey Sebastian, what too you so long?" He asked," I kinda slept in," I rubbed the back of my head as I laughed awkwardly," hah, your always late, but as long as you're here now it's fine," Ciel told me with a smile; I smiled back at him then shielded my eyes with my hand as the sun came from behind a cloud.
" Man, it's really bright today," I said; Ciel looked down at the cat he was petting a said," well, y'know, I kinda hate summer," the sudden sentence surprised me, but I just ignored it.

The black cat you were petting suddenly jumped out of your lap and you stood," Oh, no, that was my friends cat," you said as you ran after the cat; I followed to help you catch it, but I came to a sudden stop when I saw you run into the street just as the traffic light turned green.
I ran after you once again, with my arm outstretched to pull you out of the street, but there was no more time.

You turned your head and let out a piercing scream as the truck hit you and crimson blood splattered everywhere.
I could only stare in horror as the scent of your blood reached me and made me feel sick," this can't be real, it has to be a lie," I told myself as I shut my eyes.

" This is no lie."

My eyes snapped open and I turned my head to see a darker version of myself standing before me with a smirk on his face," wh-who are you?" I asked," you may call me your heat haze," it said with a chuckle.
At those few words, my vision began to darken and the summer sky faded away and the last thing I heard was the buzzing of cicadas.

I jolted awake, A drop of sweat trickled down the side of my face," what kind of dream was that?" I asked, suddenly I heard an alarm and saw it was my phone going off, I read the time and date to myself," August 14, 12:30, I guess, I should get going before Ciel yells at me," I got out of bed and got dressed so I could go meet up with him.

I made my way to the park and saw him sitting on the bench on with a black cat in is lap, my eyes widened slightly as I though, this is just like my dream, but it can't be true, it was just a dream, I shook my head and walked over to him and sat next to him.
" Sebastian, is something wrong?" Ciel asked, looking at me with a worried expression," no I'm fine, it's just, yesterday in a dream, I saw us walking in this exact same park," I said as I watched him pet the black cat and a horrific image appeared in my head.

Just then, the cat jumped from your lap and you stood to chase it, but I grabbed my wrist stopping you," why don't we go home now," I said as I grabbed him by the wrist and led him away from the street just as the light turned green.

We were walking through the city when I felt you stop, looked back to see what was wrong when I heard a snap causing me to look up and see multiple iron poles falling toward us.
Quickly, you pushed me aside and I could only watch as a iron pole fell from the sky and pierced your body straight through.

I ran over to you as the sound of windchimes and your ripping screams filled the spaces between the park trees, but I felt something grab the back of my hood, and throw me back, keeping me from reaching my beloved.
There stood my Heat Haze with a smirk on its face as it began to laugh and shouted," this is no dream!"
I reached my arm out to you, and just before I blacked out, I could've sworn I saw a smile grace your features.

I woke up once again, but this time I was scared, I knew what was happening wasn't natural; I checked my phone and saw the date was exactly the same as yesterday.
I swiftly got dressed and ran to the park to get Ciel before it happened.

Ciel looked at me with a smile and said," good morning," I quickly grabbed his wrist and said," hurry!" as I ran past the area where he was meant to die for a second time and took him up some stairs that led to a bridge to some of the upper level buildings.

" It's no use."

I saw my Heat Haze standing there, but he didn't wear that same smirk; I hadn't known I had let go of Ciel's hand as he lost his footing and fell backwards, I tried to grab his hand again, but he fell to the bottom of the steps, his blue being stained with blood that began to pool under him.

Time and Time again, I woke up on the same day and I tried to save you, but I failed each time.
The sight of you dying repeatedly practically drove me to the point of insanity.

Once again I woke up and made my way to the park again, this time I didn't do anything to save him, I just let the event play out.
On cue, the cat jumped out of Ciel's lap and I followed, but I suddenly realized in this kind of clichéd story, there must only be one ending, in this repeating summers day, it has to exist.
I grabbed your arm just before you ran into the street and pulled you back and went into your place.

I looked at you with a smile as the truck came and hit me, your expression and my crumpled body were like reflections as blood splattered everywhere.
I saw my Heat Haze looking at me with a look of horror," heh, to bad look," I chuckled as tears began to well up in his eyes as he whispered," I only wanted to save him," and disappeared.

I saw my beloved Ciel with tears streaming down his face, and my eyes widened when I saw a figure appear behind Ciel that looked exactly like him with a smirk across his face.
My vision began to darken from the blood loss as I saw Ciel's Heat Haze wave goodbye to me.

(Ciel's POV)

I woke up in bed and tears began to stream down my cheeks as I smiled and said," looks like I failed this time too," as I cradled a white cat in my arms, my Heat Haze looking at me with a smirk, thinking of how it should torture me this time.
