Disclaimer: I do not own Inuyasha... though if i could... 3 nothing could stop me. Nothing. Not even rabid fanboys and fangirls.
The wind blew through the trees, rustling the leaves, and moving the ancient limbs. It was quiet, so very quiet. I glanced around to make sure I was still alone before going back to my art project. No, they may not have art pencils here in the feudal era, but it's easier to work in the peace and quiet of the forests here.
I shaded his hair, and slowly drew the last sweeping curves of his mouth before the first tear hit the paper. Inuyasha why? I clutched my chest, as the paper fell to my knees. It hurt. No. I have to be stronger, I can't be weak anymore! I refuse to be weak. I folded the piece of paper and slipped it in my shirt for safe keeping.
Standing up, I turned to head back to camp. I can't keep avoiding them. It's not like it hasn't happened before. Plus I finally finished my art sketch, time to turn it in. My last project before college, soon I'll need to decide. Here or there. What will I do? Who will I be? There's no real reason for me to stay. Shippo. Shippo, is a great reason to stay. And Lady Kaede, who will help her? Or Sango and Miroku? But what about mom? Sota, and Grandpa?
No, now it's time to go back to camp, save the sad thoughts for later. I grabbed my bow and quiver from beside my makeshift seat, aka Mr. tree-stump, and began walking. I slowly steeled myself and put on the cheery smile that fell across my face like a mask these days.
A twig snapped. A sharp pain hit my neck. My vision went black.
A man looked down upon his newest conquest and smiled savagely. She was perfect for the illusion. Her body hung limply in his arms, raven locks and pale arms trailing gently across the grass as he began walking towards the south.
Perfect. He took a deep breath, inhaling her delicious scent, jasmine and rain. He smiled again, this time in a more possessive way. His obsidian hair blew all around him in an unseen wind, before he suddenly took to the air, and disappeared. A single arrow was all that was left in the field below.
Just an opening. I promise it'll get longer and better, and less mysterious. maybe :D Please R&R (Read and Review)
