Ziva was sitting at her desk, enjoying the silence of a late work night. Every one besides them had gone home; Gibbs was pushing them to insanity. They didn't have any cases, just paperwork that needed to be filled out. On occasion she would stare at her partner, let her mind wander for a while, only to zone back to reality and be disappointed. She didn't have the guts to do anything about her on/off feelings for Tony. It was weird, some days was like this, while other days, she barely got to thinking of him in that more than a friend way.
But today she was pining for him.
That was when she decided to do something unlike her but still not as unlike, as she'd like to think. She waited till Gibbs had gone for a late coffee run and McGee had gone down to Abby.
She stood up and walked over to Tony and sat on his desk right in front of him. She took a deep breath and looked at him. He looked at her with a small goofy smile on his lips.
"I need to get something out of my system, and you have to let me do that." She said. Man she hadn't thought this through.
"oh..kay" he said, looking uncertain.
She leaned forward and pressed her lips to his, in a short, sweet kiss. She leaned back and looked at him, stood and was about to walk away, when he grabbed her arm and not so gently pulled her to him.
"You know, you should have done that a long time ago." He said, and she got a little bit irritated on him. If he had wanted this as much as she had, how come he hadn't done anything about it?
"You could have done something before, you know." Yeah, she had apparently said her thoughts out loud.
"I could've, but I didn't. Good thing you did, then." He was having a hard time concentrating, she could tell, and so she kissed him again, or he kissed her, she didn't really know, all she knew was that he was right; they should have done this sooner. They looked at each other and she shot him a smile and walked back to her desk just in time to hear the elevator ding and see McGee walking out of it.
"If you had read the e-mail we got yesterday, you would know that they finally installed cameras after the incident last week. It's a wonder they didn't install it sooner." He said with a smirk, while waving fifty bucks in the air.
Oh yeah, he won.
/So, this was the end of my second fic. I'm not entirely sure about the grammar or spelling, so if you find it too unreadable, please tell me :)
