Chapter 1
Angelyna Hobellsnap and Aemelia Lenige had been best friends for as long as they could remember (corny I know, but true). They had lived in Palshwead since they were little and had attended Whistlestones Witches Academy as soon as they were old enough. Neither was pure blood, their mothers coming from a long line of witches whilst their fathers were distantly related to some muggles, but this didn't affect their ability to cast spells and concoct potions so it was rarely a problem. The two girls knew each other so well because their parents had gone to Whistlestones together and they had lived down the same road all their lives.
But now they were moving because the girls were getting older, well they were 15 now, and Whistlestones was only a small, basic Academy. Angelyna and Aemelia wanted something bigger and better where they could meet new people so they persuaded there parents to move to Angleton Close. It wasn't far from Diagon Alley and this meant that they could easily attend Hogwarts School of witchcraft and wizardry. Not only was Hogwarts one of the best schools around for young spell casters, but it was unisex! This meant that there would be some boys to get to know.
So, both families moved into their new homes (next door to each other I might add) over the holidays and had a day trip to Diagon Alley to purchase all the necessary items for their daughters (including a barn owl for each of them as an extra present. Then, on the 1st September at 11 'o' clock, the girls were boarding the train to Hogwarts.
They gazed at the carnage Sirius had left them in.
"Professor Albinos isn't going to believe a word we say, he's just going to listen to that little rat!" Angelyna whined.
"Oh stop whinging about it, you know that you enjoy him visiting our dorm," retorted Aemelia, "and saying he's a rat doesn't stop you thinking he's sexy!"
"OMG! I DO NOT THINK THAT CANIVING WEASEL IS GOOD LOOKING IN ANY WAY! HE'S IN THE MINUS RANGE!!!!! " Angelyna screamed, shocked at this response.
"Ok, ok, calm down! We just have to clear this mess up before anyone notices that we're missing and comes looking for us, it won't be that hard but you have to be quiet!" whispered Aemelia sounding doubtful.
Angelyna thought about this and then nodded in agreement. After all, they'd be in even more trouble if they got caught skipping Professor Sprouts' latest herbology class before they had even come up with a valid excuse! If only Sirius hadn't seen them sneaking around the back of hagrids hut then none of this would have ever happened...
