Chapter 1
Disclamer:
I do not own any of these characters.
The roar of the crowd was almost deafening as Tori Vega stepped off the stage and into the wings. Her heart beat like a hummingbird's wings and sweat trickled off her face. Trina slipped out of the shadows and held out her arms and Tori walked into them.
"Little sis you were on fire tonight! And do you hear that crowd, they're going crazy for you"
Tori slipped off her mike and handed it to the tech guy who was hovering around.
"It was amazing! I almost forgot how incredible it feels to perform! I'm glad that the movie shoot is finally over so I can get back to performing"
Trina made a face that alerted Tori that something was wrong. Her sister only made that face when she had done something wrong or when she saw cheap knockoff clothes and shoes.
"Trina..."
she said her voice warning
"Listen, before you freak out, I got a call from an old friend of yours to do a series. It's better than the movie since you'll have more free time to perform"
Tori shook her head all of her earlier elation fading.
"No way Trina! We had a deal! I'm going to go on tour, remember?"
Trina pulled her to the side and out of the way of the backstage team.
"You hired me as your manager because I know the buisness right? You need to trust me. Jade West is going on tour and she has a bigger fan base than you and Cat is selling out shows all over the city. You don't need to be competing with them, you need your own thing and this series is perfect. Plus I already told Sinjin you would do it"
A smile appeared on Tori's face, she couldn't help it remembering the creepily awakward yet cute bug eyed boy from her school days. He had gone on to become a famous director known for addressing controversial topics in his movies and shows. She hadn't seen him for over 5 years now, not since Robbie's talk show where they were guests together.
"What kind of show is it?"
she asked relenting a little. Curiousity had always been a problem for her.
"Paranormal. You would play the new girl in town who discovers that some of her classmates are paranormal creatures. At first she thinks she's human but maybe she's not quite that. Throughout the series she tries to find out about her family and their connection with the town"
Tori smirked
"You sound like the trailer. When do they start shooting?"
"In two weeks, that should give us enough time to wrap up your business and do that last benefit concert then we can fly out to Portland"
Tori frowned
"Portland? Why there?"
"That's where they're shooting, obviously! They want the water and the creepy fog for the background. Plus Sinjin said the forests were perfect for the werewolf scenes"
she eyed her sister suspiciously
"You know an awful lot, are you and Sinjin..."
"NO!"
Trina snapped cutting her off but she thought she saw a faint blush in her sister's cheeks. She decided to let it go, for now.
"Well I suppose this might be good, you know balance out my acting and singing career. Are you sure I can still do performances?"
"Sure, it will be a bit hectic but you've got Trina on the case. Don't worry about a thing, I've got it covered"
Tori laughed nervously. Trina having it covered was what she was worried about. She had hired Trina as her manager since her sister's own career had tanked but although she was a good manager she had an uncanny ability to cause mayhem and that always worried Tori. She started to ask Trina who else was going to be in the show but just then Trina's phone rang and she walked away without a word, oh well, some things never changed.
