During school recess, Roxas, Sora, and Kairi were staying in their class. As for Sora, at the same time he was copying Kairi's math homework. Namine, a light blonde-haired girl who was also the three's good friend from another class, entered the classroom and came up to them, holding a bag of what seemed to be letters.

"Hi guys!" Namine greeted as she stood near an empty chair beside Roxas'.

"Hi Nami," Kairi greeted back. Sora muttered a simple 'yo' as he continued writing on his math exercise book.

"What brings you here today?" Roxas asked, noticing the girl's bag.

"Um..." Namine started before giggling slightly. "I'm here to give you these invitations. My 17th birthday is coming up, you see, so I'm holding a birthday party."

Sora looked up with a bright smile. "Yay, I love parties!" He cheered.

Namine checked inside her bag and took out three white and pink enveloped invitations.

"Looking forward to you guys to come," Namine smiled, passing them.

"Of course we'll come! Thanks Namine," Kairi said, accepting the invitation and opening it. Sora also read his, apparently forgetting about his homework.

"Oh, by the way, where's Xion?" Namine looked at said girl's seat, which was empty at the moment.

"Miss Lockhart asked her to help with something in the office. Uh, I can pass Xion her invitation later if you want?" Roxas replied.

Namine giggled. "It's okay, there's no need to. Cause you're holding hers."

"Huh?" the blonde boy was confused. 'Isn't each invitation meant for only one person?' So he opened the one he was holding and read it.

Sweet Seventeenth Birthday Party

On Saturday, the Fifteenth of March

Seven o'clock Sharp in the Evening

Destiny Ballroom

Dress Code: White Attire for Boys and Pink Attire for Girls

"Dear Roxas and...Xion? What is this...?" Roxas asked. "Why are there two names in one?"

"Tee-hee... I counted the cards wrongly so I had to consider you an item and put two names in that... sorry~" Namine apologized with a somewhat playful tone.

Sora and Kairi laughed while Roxas' cheeks reddened. An item!?

"Congrats, Roxas!" Kairi said between laughs.

"You must be happy, cause I can totally see that!" Sora added.

"That's not funny!" Roxas grumbled, still blushing as he put the card back into its envelope.

"Well, you and Xion live very closely to each other. Even if you have separate invitations, you two would still come together, right?"

Roxas had to agree with that. His house was just a five-minute walk to Xion's and vice versa. The boy started to daydream about how the black-haired girl would look in a lovely pink dress...

"I sure wish you two are real couple," Namine said then, tapping a finger on her chin. A brilliant idea suddenly struck her. "Yes!" she exclaimed excitedly, clapping her hands.

Her three friends gave her a questionable look.

"...Ehehe, nothing. Anyway, I must go to Tidus and Selphie's class now. Bye!" she fled gracefully before her friends could say anything.

"There she goes, I guess," Kairi kept her enveloped invitation inside her bag. She glanced at her watch before gasping dramatically.

"Sora! 3 minutes to the math lesson!"

Sora's eyes grew wide.

"Noo! I still have 20 questions unanswered!" he started writing, horrified.

While the pair got busy, Roxas glanced at Xion's currently empty seat, thinking of what Namine had mentioned earlier.

'I would be very happy if we are a real couple...'
