Authors Note; This one came to me right before I fell asleep last night and when I remembered it this morning when I woke up, I just had to write it down! Just a short and sweet fic.
" I love you" you say and you look at her and you notice that she don't believe you. Not so strange since you've only been dating for a few weeks, you haven't even slept together yet. You're taking things slow, but you still love her. Always have. She shakes her head and is about to say something when you hold up your hand to keep her from talking.
"I love you because you're you. The way you reach out to the families when we have a case, the way you deal with the media even we you're completely throw when they know something they shouldn't. The way you don't crack under pressure even though all you want to do is give up. Because you're willing to do anything for the people you love. You're always there for anyone who needs you. The way you smile when Reid is telling us something nobody of us understands. The way you only let me call you Jennifer, not even your mom gets to call you that. You're highly respected. You won't take bullshit from anyone. But most of all, I love you for you" you say and you can see that this time she believes you. She looks taken aback, and suddenly she leans forward on the couch and catches you in a kiss that leaves you both breathless. You rest you forehead against hers and hear her whisper "I love you too" and you know that you're going to get through this. It doesn't matter that she is moved to the Pentagon or that you just started dating, you're going to make it, because you love each other.
