Just Asking…
(Kagome and Inuyasha)
It's been a few days ago since Inuyasha's love tryst with Kikyo. He's been really quiet lately and Kagome's been wondering why. She kind of thought that Inuyasha didn't like her anymore. So when her and Inuyasha were alone she decided to ask.
"Inuyasha?"
"Yeah?" he said wondering what she was going to ask.
"Do you think I'm attractive?" she asked a little embarrassed. Inuyasha wasn't going to lie to her.
"No." he simply answered. Kagome was shocked but continued asking.
"Would you cry if I died?" she asked thinking this was going to be a yes.
"No." he simply answered again like it was no big deal
She held back the tears and the anger. But she was curious.
"Do you at least like me?" she asked
"No." he replied. She barely holds back the tears but wanted to ask one final question.
"Do you want me to be with you?" she asked afraid of the answer.
"No." he said yet again. So all those kisses and embraces were worthless. It didn't mean anything. After all they went though it didn't mean anything to him. So I meant nothing to him. She thought to herself. As she thought this she let a single tear go down her cheeks. And she thought it was time for her to leave. So when she was about to storm away Inuyasha jumped in front of her.
"No I don't think your attractive, I think your beautiful. No I would not cry if you died, I would kill myself. No I don't like you, I love you. And No I don't want you with me, I need you with me…"
As he said this she let the tears come out of her eyes because they were now tears of happiness. He pulled her close to him. "It's going to be alright Kagome. I'll never leave you for anybody." She looked up at him still crying. He gently wiped the tear out of her face and she smiled. He smiled and kissed her on the forehead and held her tightly.
