Well, gosh. There's a total lack in OgaxKunieda fics here even though I just LOVE them . So, here's a little drabble about them. :D I do NOT own Beelzebub…unfortunately :(
Once-in-a-Lifetime Moment
No words were shared while the two merely sat on the bench, watching the clouds drift and enjoying the shade and rare peace.
Aoi mentally cursed her awkwardness as she fidgeted with the hem of her shirt. Between Oga's training and taking care of baby Beel, and the Red Tail accompanied by Furichi trying to interfere with every chance they got; the two never found time together. But now that she finally got to hold back the girl gang with a task that she deemed and stressed was extremely and utterly important and since Hilda and Furichi along with Alaindelon suddenly disappeared to god knows where, they were finally alone. So yes, here she was in the once-in-a-lifetime alone moment with Oga Tatsumi and she just couldn't open her mouth or get her hands to function properly! The former boss quickly ran through a million topics in her head.
"Should I ask about school? Oh wait, we're in the same class. Oh, then what about Beel? Should I ask about him? Yeah, I should go with that. It won't make me seem too eager, right? And it's a common topic too! Okay Aoi, you can do this. All you have to do is open your mouth and ask how the prince of Hell is doing. Yep, you got this. W-wait, should I run through a mock conversation in my mind? Yea- that's good for practice. Oh wait- he might be bored already! Ugh! Whatever! Just say something!"
"U-um-"Aoi started, but then she felt something heavy hit her shoulder, "Huh?"
She looked down at the source and almost shrieked in surprise. Almost. Okay, so instead, she let out a high-pitched yelp and started gesturing frantically with her hands- but not too much, because she didn't want to jostle the one on her shoulder.
"W-w-w-w-what are you doing? You, i-idiot!"
Yes! Record for the least stuttering she did when she was embarrassed.
Oga had his eyes closed. His head didn't budge at all and his arms were crossed, "Geez. Beel can finally let me out of his sight but last night he started crying like crazy. Couldn't sleep at all."
Aoi kept her mouth shut when she heard that statement. Red blossomed on her face as she wisely held her tongue, getting the hint. She looked away and after a good five minutes, she managed to whisper softly, "S-sweet dreams… I-I guess."
Silence filled the air for a few seconds.
"Ah…"
Aoi almost jumped, clearly not expecting an answer. Then she continued to blush and look away, eyes shifting and finding interest in different trees while avoiding the gazes of some whispering nosy housewives. She took in every single detail of the park…but missed the rare tiny fleeting smile on the other's face.
