A/N: I'm so in love with Blindspot and Jeller I had to write something after watching 1x10. Can't believe we'll have to wait months until the next ep. It turned out more angsty than I'd planned but I guess that's just my No More Blindspot For Ages depression starting to kick in! :D
Unforgivable
It all goes wrong so fast.
Then again, from what she's learned working with the FBI when things go wrong they tend to do so quickly. So it shouldn't be a shock. Yet it is. Carson dead, a video of herself Before and Oscar. She doesn't quite remember him, not anything other than the flashbacks. She doesn't remember the feelings, the emotions behind those memories. But she knows he was important to her once. She just can't remember the feelings to why.
She does remember Weller and she knows what she feels for him. Knows why he is important. She know who she is with him. But with Oscar, she has no idea. Even if the Before-Jane in the video is telling her to trust him, she's not sure if she can.
"I need to call-" Weller. The FBI. But even as she thinks it she realizes everything has changed. She took her own memories. Oscar works for her. There is a plan. She came up with it. The mess she's in, all the things that have gone down because of that tattoos are her fault. Weller had said she couldn't blame herself for what happened to David, but she could. She should.
"I will tell you everything," Oscar says."As much as I can. But I need to leave before the FBI shows up."
"They're coming?" she asks and she can't help but to be glad at the thought of her friends. Even if everything is different, she has to believe they're still friends. That she and Weller are still friends and whatever more that is between them. That she's still the person she has become with them.
"They're looking for you right now," he offers. "So ask your questions."
Jane thinks it over and even though there are probably a thousand better questions the one she really wants the answer to, needs the answer to is, "Am I Taylor Shaw?"
"No," Oskar says. She immediately wishes she would have asked something else. Because she was supposed to be Taylor. She was supposed to be the girl Weller had been looking for all his life. But she's not. It's just another part of her plan, Before-Jane faked the DNA somehow. It's all a cruel trick she's played on both herself and Weller. How can she make that right?
She realizes quickly, that she can't.
It all goes wrong so fast.
A/N 2: So I really hope Jane is Taylor but I'm really worried she won't be. I kind of have this weird theory of real kidnapped Talyor Shaw telling kidnapped kid Jane about her awesome neighbor / friend and little Jane while they're in the weird basement with all the kids and her kind of holding onto that and deciding to keep track of him when she grows up to be a super spy. A little far fetched, but hey, it's Blindspot!
