SPIRITS OF FLAME
Chapter 1
Natsu couldn't sleep tight. He kept on rolling around and grumbling about sleep, but he couldn't get any. Natsu finally decided to head to Lucy's house, as he always did. Sleeping with Lucy made him comfortable. As always, he disregarded the door and hopped in the window. Lucy had volunteered to let him enter a gymnastic group or something. Lucy was sitting on her bed, writing her novel. Natsu hopped in.
"Watch'ya doin' Luce?" he smiled.
"Natsu?!" Lucy screamed.
"I guess I shouldn't be surprised." she groaned.
Natsu frowned.
"What's with the poopy attitude Luce? It's not like I watched ya shower or somethin'."
"WHAT?!"
"Speaking of which, you forgot to take your towel in when you were showering."
Lucy sighed.
Happy had been standing in the back all along, nibbling on a fish.
"He llliiiikes you." Happy said with a smile on his face.
"STOP ROLLING YOUR TONGUE LIKE THAT YA STUPID CAT!"
Lucy picked up the nearest newspaper and started chasing Happy with it.
"Slow down!" She yelled.
Happy skidded to a stop. Lucy almost fell backwards, but she didn't. She knew that if she did, her face would be planting into a very hard sink.
Happy snickered. "Natsu is asleep." he whispered.
Natsu was planted face first into Lucy's pillow, drooling and snoring. Lucy smiled. She had always admired Natsu like that. Sometimes he was annoying, slamming his face into her buisness. But sometimes, Lucy felt happy. She had always had a passion for that fire mage.
"He looks pretty cute when he sleeps huh?" Lucy smiled.
She tucked Happy with Natsu and they fell asleep, side by side.
