Mind of Oblivion

Mind of Oblivion

The empty street echoes her hollow steps

Lights flicker in and out of consciousness

Winds whisper a sweet, sad song

As dead leaves curl around her feet

Bare skin to hard rock

Blank stares across the sea of faces

That lay in a heap upon the floor

Of her sealed heart

Rain like silver bullets pelting

Her milk white skin

And breaking into a million pieces on contact

Hair hangs like dirty ropes around her head

Her eyes lost in thought

While her mind probes for something

Sleeping deep within
