"So, what are your Halloween plans, Beck?"

"Same as every year. I'll be spending countless hours in my RV watching horror movies with…" He rapidly cut the sentence off, when he realized what he was uttering. You're broken up, you dumb head! He reminded to himself. "I mean… I don't know. Probably nothing. Those holidays are not my kind of thing. How 'bout you?" He asked in a desperate attempt to distract Tori. However, she knew about the tradition he and Jade used to keep, and she gave him an "Aha…" look. The ringing bell saved him. "See ya at lunch." He told her and left almost running for his science class, not even wanting to imagine what kind of thoughts were rushing into Tori Vega's head right now…

Now that he thought of it, what would he do this Halloween? Of course, there was no chance he would do what he and Jade did all these years on his own…

The horror movies' marathon they were holding out was starting on October 15th. They used to watch two movies every day, so that on October 31st, they would watch the 31th movie, "The Scissoring". Jade was MAD about this film. She once told him she loved it more than her mother, and Beck suspected she wasn't joking. All the other movies varied from year to year.

Phew. Thank God from now on he wouldn't be forced to spend his October evenings watching vampires (and not the romantic ones), zombies and thugs use scissors, knives and axes to coldly murder innocent people. Neither would he be made to decide along with Jade which one was the best.

This process was kinda fun, though. He still remembered 2009's Halloween, when they had one of their most epic fights, arguing about whether "Dead Men Tell No Tales" or "Dead for a Day" had the most convincing blood effect. To his big surprise, Jade eventually gave way and admitted that "Dead for a Day"'s blood looked more like ketchup.

Plus, after watching "The Scissoring" on October 31st, Jade was picking two scissors from her collection, and they cut each other's clothes. Sure thing was, after that they were too busy to answer the door to any kid that came to his RV, seeking for candy. On Christmas, when Cat gifted Jade the authentic scissors that were used on "The Scissoring", first thing she said to him was she couldn't wait to use them on his clothes in 11 months. Who knew she never would… For some reason, this thought made his stomach turn, but he forced himself not to think about it.

At noon, he decided to refresh his status on ; "My first Halloween without Jade. Guess I won't have to watch 31 horror movies this month." Mood; Chillin'. Deep inside though, he still couldn't decide if he was happy he'd have to spend his Halloween without her…
