"Playing Temptress"

Jayne felt the hair on the back of his neck stand on end. He glanced up. Before he could get any dirty thoughts about the sight of River Tam with her skirts hitched up, she dropped down on him armed with a tin of peaches.

Jayne, caught off guard, dropped his gun as she tackled him with the tin high above her head ready to bring down on him. The sound of the stray bullet that fired echoed around the ship. In an uncanny display of strength and skill, River flipped Jayne on to his back and straddled him. His hands went up to grasp her hips out of instinct. River looked down at him, eyes wide. Her mouth dropped open slightly and let the tin fall to the floor, forgotten.

Despite her position on top of him, she felt the control slip to Jayne as a drunken leer crept over his face. He continued to squirm, half heartedly trying to escape, but his thoughts were quickly turning towards the girl pinning him to the ground. A fey smile slid over her features and Jayne felt his breath hitch slightly. She leant down, slowly, seductively. Playing the temptress. He arched his hips of the ground slightly and gripped her hips tighter. She let her eyes roll back in her head and wore a sexy loopy grin as she leant down to Jayne's face. She brought her hands up to his face and gripped his hair.

Jayne was confused by her actions, but knew how to read these signals better than anyone. He let her bring his face up to hers, and she could smell the cheap sake on his breath. She looked into his eyes, and winked. Before Jayne could think, she brought his head down hard onto the metal floor. His body went limp, and she ran into the corner just before Zoƫ reached the porthole window.

She barely had time to register the fluttering in her stomach and the confusing ache she felt as the heat from his grasp left her and dissipated into the air.
