Title: Idiots In Mossflower
Category: Redwall
Author: DemonHedgehogSenshi
Summary: What would happen if a Redwall-obsessed 15yr old with an over active imagination and her fox-crazed 12 ½ yr old sister were put in the Redwall world? Read to find out! (Uses nearly all books)
Chapter: Prologue (Or- It Begins)
Disclaimer: Brain Jacques owns the characters and places of Redwall. Not me. I just stuck myself and my little sister there. I am not creative enough to own the copy rights. No matter how much I wish I was.
A/N: This is a sort of parallel story to my Mis-Adventures of Two Brunettes and a Blonde which has been temporarily discontinued due to writer's block and lack of reviews. Sorry the prologue is so short, but I wanted to get it out before I forgot the idea! And, yes, my sister and I actually had the following conversation once- minus the sudden transportation into Mossflower Woods. Don't think she followed my advice though.
The fifteen year old girl with gray-blue eyes and red-brown hair (it had been dyed) snapped Taggerung shut, disturbing her twelve-and-a-half year old, blue-eyed, brown-haired sister who had been reading White Fang.
"Must you do that every time you finish a book?!" Sierra demanded irritably as her sister smiled and, placing Taggerung on the table between them, reached for High Rhulain on the bookshelf behind her. "And why do you read those books all the time?! You know I can't stand the fact that foxes are made out to be the bad guys!"
Missy sighed, this was an argument Marissa had started many times before, which was why she seldom read Redwall books when her sister was down for the weekend. "I've told you before, try writing to the author. Not that it'll do you much good since all his fans are used to foxes being vermin. To have them all suddenly goodbeasts would probably get him hunted down by hordes of angry fans," she said, smirking at Marissa's obvious outrage.
Suddenly, the two sisters were engulfed in pure white light. Missy closed her eyes and could feel herself changing, "Odd," she thought, "This is always what I thought morphing would feel like…" She could feel an otter's rudder-like tail sprouting from the base of her shrinking body, her hands and feet became otter's paws. As her head changed into that of an otter, her eyes maintained their icy blue color. Marissa whimpered slightly as her eyes turned emerald green and she felt herself transform into a fox.
As the blinding light faded the first thing the two sisters noticed was that there was grass under their…uh…paws. When they opened their eyes, the first thing they noticed was that they were no longer in Missy's bedroom, and that they were now animals.
"Where are we?!" Marissa demanded as she looked around.
Missy laughed at her sister, "Mossflower Woods! But the most important question is, which book are we in? If we're in Mossflower then you're in good shape but I'm doomed. No way Tsarmina Greeneyes would let me go free. Most any other book and you're the one in trouble, but there's always a chance I can talk you out of it."
Marissa nodded wordlessly, but yelped as, quite suddenly, the pair was surrounded by a band of hares.
"The Long Patrol," Missy muttered to her sister, both naming the group of hares and the book they were from.
A/N: Okay, you've read my (badly written) proluge. Now, please finish the two steps of reading fanfiction by clicking the little "Okay" button and sending me a review. Flames will be used to burn my Spanish homework. Have a nice day!
