He yearns to feel his touch just one more time, and as he lays on the hot sand with the harsh sun beating down on him, he begins to think he can again hear the soft, dancing footsteps of his beloved Captain as he swaggers near. His eyes close. He grows still as he looks up into his sweetheart's handsome face. "You came for me," he tries to rasp, but there's nothing to be heard save for the rush of sea against the shore.

Jack smiles down at him, his gold tooth flashing in the searing sun. "O' course." He lays beside him, then turns and takes him in his arms. "Are ye ready, luv?"

Will's worries flee as he gazes into his soul mate's wonderfully dark, kohl-rimmed eyes. "Ready for what?"

"Fer anythin'."

"As long as we're together." Jack's arms sweep around him, and he kisses him one last time.

Will's breathing his last when the whole island shakes. "WILL!" It's Jack crying his name, and he opens his eyes as the real Jack falls before him. His hands cover his hot body in desperate strokes; Will smiles calmly up at him. "I'm okay, love." He tries but still can't speak, but Jack understands his meaning nonetheless and cries as he hugs him close. It will be okay, they both know now, for they're together, and together, they can overcome anything. The whole world is theirs to do with what they want for they possess the greatest power of all: their love.

They lay there for a while, cuddled in each other's loving arms, until Gibbs approaches. Jack lets him in. Gibbs gently pours a strong, life-saving concoction down Will's throat. He backs away silently, letting Jack back in. Jack wraps Will sweetly in his arms, and together they go home.
