Alec was in the loft, like he generally was. He looked around for Magnus, who had disappeared almost ten hours ago. Magnus sometimes did this, vanished like the warlock he was, but never for this long. Alec was worried. The phone rang. Alec jumped up and ran for his phone. "Magnus?" He asked breathlessly.
"My name is Catarina Loss. When was the last time you saw Magnus Bane?" Alec's eyes widened. "Not for a few hours. Do you know where he is? Is he okay?"
"Alexander. No one has seen him, except for you, for the last couple of days."
"Magnus…" Alec whispered. He pulled on a coat, and ran to the Inquisitor's office.
"Who is it?" Came a deep voice after Alec knocked
"Alexander Lightwood, sir."
"Ah, Robert Lightwood's child, yes, come in."Alec entered.
"Sir, when was the last time you heard from the warlock representative?"
"Ah, Magnus Bane, you mean? The man you mess around with?" Alec's heart started to race. He hated when people tried to get him to feel guilty about Magnus, for one because it was one of the only things he was not guilty about. His father, Robert Lightwood, had told him that he was not a Shadowhunter because he was gay, and so Alec had proved him wrong. All of a sudden, he remembered Max and Rafe. In the turmoil, he had forgotten to text Cristina that he might be late. "I'm sorry, Inquisitor, but I have to go pick up my kids." The Inquisitor smiled. "Of course you do." Alec could hear the teasing sarcasm in his voice. He rushed out of the room and ran to Luke Garroway's house, where Clary was staying before her and Jace's wedding. She opened the Portal to the L.A. Institute, where the kids were. And there Magnus was, lying on the ground, bleeding. "Magnus!" Alec yelled. "Alec, my head!" Alec must have looked terrible, because Magnus tried to reassure him. "Relax, Alexander, I'm fine." He groaned. Alec rushed toward him. "Magnus! What about your healing?"
"My Portal was sabotaged, so I was Portaled to Edom. Asmodeus froze my healing, and my magic, for a few days." Alec picked up his stele, before remembering that Magnus was a warlock, and unable to hold the Marks of the Angel Raziel. He called Catarina, but it went straight to voicemail. "Alec" Magnus rasped "Give me your phone."Alec did. Magnus typed in a number before passing out. Alec presses call. "Hello? Who is this? What do you want?"
"It's Alec Lightwood, Magnus's boyfriend. He was Portaled to Edom, and he can't heal, or do magic. He needs help." A few seconds later, a green warlock with horns Portaled in. "I'm Ragnor Fell, the warlock you contacted. Where is he?" Alec pointed to where Magnus was bleeding out on the rug. "Right there." he said sarcastically. Ragnor rolled his eyes Cristina, a Mexican exchange student, entered. "Ay Dios Mio! Magnus! Alec! And who is the green one?"
"Ragnor Fell." Alec said helpfully. She nodded, and knelt on the rug by Ragnor.
"What can I do?" She asked.
"Nothing." Ragnor said curtly. Green light emanated from his hands. Magnus shot up, gasping.
"Alexander." He said.
"Yes? Magnus, I'm right here."
"Let's go home." Alec nodded, and Ragnor opened a Portal to the loft. Alec, carrying Magnus, stepped in.
