Mordecai and Rigby were sitting at the computer in the house that they worked at in the park, with it being a quiet night as they had to stay overtime to make sure everything was clear. On such quiet nights like this, unlikely inspiration can come to anyone from anything or anywhere.
"Dude, we should totally do a poem for pong," Mordecai suggested as he had his hands on the keyboard.
Rigby yawned as he moved his lanky arms about. "But why pong, man? Why not anything else?"
"Do you have any better suggestions then?"
"Well, uh... no."
"Heh, thought so." Mordecai chuckled as he waved his blue feathery arms about. "Let's get this thing done."
"Whatever, it can't be that challenging." Rigby scoffed as he rolled his eyes. "...It's a poem about pong, how hard can it be?"
The pong ball prepared to head all the way towards the right paddle, only for it to be slammed down by the left paddle.
It was a very bad night to be a pong ball.
Mordecai and Rigby looked at each other as they were quite surprised at what they just had wrote.
"Dude." Mordecai and Rigby simultaneously said as they then screamed "Oh" and high fived each other.
"We're going to ace this thing!" Rigby piped up as he pumped his right arm in the air.
Mordecai rubbed his chin as he pondered. "Yeah but should we enter this in a contest?"
Rigby shrugged casually. "We could just show the others."
Mordecai nodded in agreement. "Yeah, the others will get a kick out of it."
Rigby proceeded to nod in unison with Mordecai, the two obnoxiously going 'hmm' for the rest of the night as they wondered what else they could add to their pong poem.
