A/N: I set myself a challenge; create some pieces of literature under the word count of 500 words, and make them good. I'm doing one for each letter of the alphabet; this being 'R'. The Matrix trilogy and franchise, their characters and universe are the creation of Larry and Andy Wachowski. Rights belong to Warner Brothers Studios.

I can't think past the sight of your beautiful face. You are sobbing, your voice choked, and I want to comfort you. You tell me to just hold on, but I held on for so long, and now I just can't anymore. I have gone as far as I can, and although it is not as far as I had hoped, it is as far as humanly possible.

Please don't cry.

For all this time you have kept me so safe; you saved my life, Neo, and for that I am eternally grateful. I could say so much more then I thought I ever could, you gave me the chance to say more then my apologies. God, I love you, and I always will, afterlife or not

'Cause I love you.

There are no words in this world to describe how I feel; no adjectives to explain it. I am calm, like I am ready for this. Am I? I made a promise to myself when I was just unplugged that I would not die like a coward. I would stare death in the face and spit at his boots. Now I'm not so sure about the spitting part, but even so, I am not going to die afraid.

I'm ready for what lies ahead.

You have taught me so much, shown me what none have seen in years too many. It is like you have shown me the meaning of life, and then how to live it. I saw the sun, Neo. The sun. No human in nearly two hundred years has seen such a beautiful thing. It was a gift of the greatest kind, and although I know you couldn't see it, I knew you could sense it.

You've shown me the ropes, taught me what I need to know.

This is not the end, Neo, but simply another stage of our lives. As I slip away from your world, I know that we will be together soon. I know this like I know your name; it is imprinted into myself, and part of me. Finally I understand what Morpheus told me. It was never just a revolution of Man verses Machine. It was a revelation of the heart, of will power and of human nature; a revolution which we all shared. The end of the circle is near, and our decent into death only means the birth of something new.

The great circle of life.

I love you, and I always will.

And I'll never let go.
