Feeling Something New
Cassian waited until the stormtroopers passed when he realized how close he and Jyn were between the two buildings he shoved them into to avoid capture and identification. Her free hand was wrapped around his neck while her other hand gripped a concealed dagger she kept on her person. For such a strong woman, she had a lean figure and the need in her eyes drew him in like a spell. He held her around her waist with his free hand while he held his standard blaster in his other. Ready to engage a enemy if they were discovered quickly.
"This won't be easy." Jyn said matter of factly, not caring much about their intimate position they were in and looking over to the tank emerging from the corner of her eye. "The damn place is crawling with stormtroopers."
Cassian nodded his head but kept his tone leveled and matter-of-fact as well. "We don't need to kill them all, we just gotta clear a path so we can find my contact. Then we can find Saw and we'll be able to get off this planet with your freedom in sight."
When he mentioned freedom, the need grew ten times stronger and her lips curled into a feline smile he never imagined would be possible in a situation like this. Her need for independence and freedom dominated her thinking process and anybody who stood in her way was a dead man.
"You seem to know this routine very well. You've done this sort of thing on other planets haven't you?" Jyn questioned after a moment of silence. Searching his eyes to see if she would be able to read him if he told a lie but to her surprise, the only thing that happened was her realizing how weary and unsure they were. Something was bothering him but she didn't know what.
But Cassian just smiled wearily and boyishly shrugged his shoulders. "Probably more times than I'm willing to admit."
While Jyn was trying to figure out the mysterious mind of Cassian Andor, on the other side of things Cassian was trying to figure out this strange new feeling surging through his entire being. She dominated his thinking process and as he held her so close to him, a strange desire started to whisper in his ear: do it. lean in and kiss her. The thought was ridiculous but he could feel his heart start to race just a little in his chest and he was instantly glad he was wearing his thick coat so she couldn't tell his chest was starting to heave just a little bit.
He couldn't be bothered to deal with these new feelings right away so he did what he knew how to do well. Lie. Cassian put on his spy face and gave himself just a small hint of pleasure as he felt the warmth of Jyn's body start to seep through his gloves and into his skin. "You ready?"
Jyn's feline smile evaporated from her face and became just as stony as his own. She said nothing but nodded her head as she felt the warmth of the skin on his neck seep through her fingers and gave her the reassurance of another living human that was on her side.
They gazed only a moment more into each other's eyes before they unwrapped from the close embrace and made their move through the crowd again. Keeping their heads low and looking for Cassian's contact to find the man that abandoned Jyn when she was a teenager.
