I'm dedicating this to my dear reviewer NICK. This is my way of replying to you. I also answered you on my tumblr (StillLoveMeTomorrow). I hope you like this!
„Thank you for setting me free – B."
Read those words and thinking about what she might be doing with someone else right now made his heart ache.
She showed her new writer boyfriend off everywhere, they held court in her kingdom.
He chose to stay on the his. He made the Upper West Side his new home, his hotel became his castle where no one could touch him, reach him really.
Her eyes wandered through the room. She hadn't seen him in months and she wondered where he might be. How much longer he would avoid her. Serena had told her that he was good, busy but he seemed not so upset anymore. Before she could think if this made her happy, a hand that belonged to someone in a not-so-cheap anymore flannel shirts.
Rumor had it that he met someone new. Rumor also had it that she was related to Georgina. She would have laughed about this, she would have if her stomach wouldn't burn that much. Jealousy. What a powerful emotion.
She didn't even pretend to listen to the Brooklynite tips anymore when she out on her four inch Louboutins.
D day.
It had happened. She spotted him immediately. He laughed, looked happily, he didn't look out for her anymore like he used to. But then again, why would he? She was there alone.
Eventually her intellectual tête-à-tête became a dull. It had been so predictable, why did she even bother to try? No time to regret the past anymore.
She focused on the blonde on his arm. A Serena, only witter. A Georgina, only less obvious crazy. A Raina, because she was a business genius. An Eva, only less hollow. He'd found the perfect mix of the girls that had been the only constants in his life but her. He seemed to avoid anything he could in her replacement. She wondered if he did it to avoid to think about her or if he really thought of them as wrong. Even considering that made her heart break.
It took her three glasses of champagne and a pep talk from Serena to give her the confidence to go over to them and greet him. He simply nodded, the haughtily smirk in his eyes, the way he didn't seem to treated her like before. It had happened. He had stopped chasing her. It cut her inside.
On his way out, his blonde stopped in front of her. Blair couldn't even hold up her façade anymore. Bright blue eyes meet dark brown ones.
"Just so you know, I'm going to pull him so deep into the dark with me that not even your light could bring him back. And he's going to enjoy it because Chuck Bass in made from dark, he feels safe there. It's the only way he can breathe. You could never accept that, love him for what he is, that's why you lost him. That's why I will never let go of him and neither will he."
She felt the single tear sliding down her cheek.
