for sydney. just because.
hey soul sister...
(ain't that mister mister on the on the radio, stereo; the way you move ain't fair you know)
--
She lifted the daisy to her pale lips, inhaling deeply as her unruly red curls spilled haphazardly past her shoulders.
He watches, wishing her bee-stung mouth was on his instead of the translucent petals.
--
He grins, and it looks so easy and carefree, he practically radiates that playful, child-like feeling that everyone loves.
She wants to be a part of that.
--
Your sweet moonbeam, the smell of you in every single dream I dream...
She dances under the stars, the spicy green dress fanning out like a balloon as she spins, eyes half-closed and she's sticky and damp from the humid summer air.
He hopes the music never stops.
--
They're running to nowhere in particular, and for a split second, he flashes a warm smile that makes her heart feel like her chest can barely contain it and slips his fingers between hers.
He's everything she wants, everything she never knew she needed.
--
She's like a permanent dream, floating into his thoughts every second of the day until all he can see is pale freckled skin and wishes that she was in his arms so he could inhale that intoxicating flowery scent that muddles his brain worse than any drug.
The second she steps off that plane, she's off the ground and he's kissing her until they're both breathless and when they pull away, her cheeks are flushed a rosy hue.
"So I take it you missed me, huh?"
--
He's so warm, so open, so dazzling; every moment is like unadulterated effervescence is shot straight to vein.
Her personal sun.
--
They're flawed, but they weave together like technicolor threads on a tapestry, bright and perfect through their imperfections.
You watch them, hoping quietly that one day your tapestry will be as vibrant, creating a little slice of heaven right where you are.
