Desperation

It was dark, but she didn't notice. The crescent moon above Rangiku was shining onto the heavy snow that surrounded her. She kneeled in the pure white snow, not minding the coldness at all. She missed him too much to care about herself. She buried her hands in the snow around her. The snow, so much like Toshiro's perfect hair that seemed always to be in the right place. He was different and she knew that. His eyes were no other like anyone else's. He would always say he hated them because it scared everyone off. And his white hair, which he also hated, knowing that nobody could be born with white hair. And no matter how much he said he hated it, she would always disagree and say that it was the most beautiful thing possible.

Oh how she missed him so much. His blue-turquoise eyes reminded her of the waves flowing and splashing against rocks, and his hair reminding her of the soft snow and the bright moonlight that was shining above. And himself, of course, reminding her of ice. Cool, smooth, sleek, and the most exquisite thing you could ever imagine. But you couldn't imagine it, because he was real.

She held her hands to her face and started crying. Tears just came down one after another. The snow started to fall again. How she wondered if the snow was him, watching her, comforting her to every minute, but it wasn't. She cried even harder until she couldn't take it anymore. She wished to see his face once more. Once more. Just as she was about to close her eyes just to lie down and rest forever, she heard a voice that called her name. No, it wasn't just a voice, it was too familiar. She turned around, and the moonlight shined on the figure running towards her. Her heart stopped. One glance at the face that was calling her name and out of her eyes flowed tears of joy.

Her desperate need for him just ended.
