After that horrid dream I didn't feel the same I was tense and had the creepy feeling like I was being watched. As much as I would like to run for the hills now wasn't the time to chicken out, this case is very strange. Not only that we had someone already from the other team vanish and no sign of where she may have gone, hopefully we can find her. As of right now I am currently in the base looking at the monitors with Lin. The silence was broken as Naru said "How about we will perform a séance tonight, you up for Lin?" I looked out of the corner of my eye to see Lin give Naru a single nod; agreeing to the task. "Mai tea" I flinched at his words and I said "y-yes I am on it." I stood up quickly walking off to make his tea, my eyes slightly rolling as his attitude but then again. As we dug deeper into this Investigation could help but notice Naru really being on edge. Slowly I poured the hat water into a cup, trying to prevent any of it spilling onto my person, but failed miserably as that narcissist Hollard at me from the other room causing to flinch and splash some of the hot water on my hand. "Ugh! That jerk at least he can say please!"

I made my way back quickly in the room, as I handed him his tea he had the nerve to say "I told you not to be alone." I rolled my eyes "Yea, yea." I handed him his addiction and made my way I back to my seat next to Lin. The silence was once again broke by a sudden creak of a window opening. Immediately I leaned close to Lin seeking the some sort of shield. But relaxed as soon as I heard there voice "Hey there Naru I got more stuff about this place for you." I opened my eyes I felt Lin tense up I flushed red and I said "I-I a-am so sorry!" A sense of fear and dread consumed my being; I felt my heart fly into my throat. He then said "calm down there is nothing to be afraid of, we are here with you" I moved away as he stood up and walked over to Naru's mentor Madoka. I stood up, curious about what else she may have found out about this place; last time she was here she was reporting that there was no sign of Suzuki leaving the area. "Well guess what Yasu and I found out more about this place! So here is the low down."

"Basically the guy who owned the place before was the son of the guy in the painting. Apparently he built and built for the fact in he had to "Keep them from getting out." The temperature in my body dropped, my skin had goosebumps, and my palms began to sweat. "And that's not all in his dying words he said to burn down the place." My head began to spin, my breathing grew heavier. "Mai you ok?" I nodded and looked at Lin "i-I'm fine its nothing." I laughed a shaky laugh, Madoka said "also there were some disappearances and the people who vanished never found."

Naru then asked "what about the doctor's coat I told you about." "Oh, that it was a hospital which Urado the man in that painting owned "he would sometimes fire people from the area and the hospital also during that time he did have some health issues but also her was very picky so to say." As the conversation took a darker turn I felt a scream tear through my throat. Suddenly a hand was on my shoulder .The SPR looked at me with wide eyes, Monk took a step towards me but Masako stopped him. She placed a hand on my shoulder, "I am afraid this girl cannot help you. Now you can leave her and this place and head towards the light and there you shall find peace." I felt myself relax, "Thanks Masako." "You were possessed by a spirit that was a victim here" I felt tears fall slowly down my cheek" she was so scared everything that I saw in my dream the night before. I felt what she felt, she was so scared." Naru looked at Lin "Alright Lin, time to begin the séance" Lin stood and he began to set up alter. He wrote down Suzuki's name on a sheet of paper along with her date of birth and possible death. Apparently if this works then she is indeed dead which means our worse fears has come true. I can't imagine what Ms, Higarash will feel. "Mai lights" Lin said. I shut them off; Lin closed his eyes and was in complete concentration, an airy whistle escaped his lips. I couldn't help but feel somewhat peaceful. The candle in front of him flickered, "She's here." A pale blue figure formed before us. Naru then proceeded to ask it questions and it indeed it was Suzuki, my heart sunk deep into my stomach. "Do you know you're dead" Naru said. She nodded once, he then proceeded to say "Who killed you?" she began to move her hands I noticed she was pointing to the wall on the far end. "We are running out of time" Lin said. "Where are you" Naru asked. She tried answering but in the end she vanished. I switched on the lights then at the end of the room on the wall there was blood that spelled vlad. I began to shake and I said "vlad?" then I looked at monk and he said "it looks like she is making a reference to Dracula." I looked at him "you mean like Count Dracula?" Naru walk over "yes I see it more clearly now think referring count Dracula to this case makes sense." I was still lost but I listened close then he said "well I will explain since you know Mai is always a step behind." I rolled my eyes and he continued "think people leaving left and right the reference to vlad the impaler the name for his favorite killing method and with the obsession to impale, he was seen as a vampire." I still looked at him "you're saying there relating to the guy in the painting being related to a vampire?" Naru gave a single nod "for example Elizabeth Bathory." Then Ayako jumped in "Oh I see like she was the one who would bathe in blood trying thinking in doing so it would save her youth."

Naru nodded "now link that paper we found in the coat pocket run before he gets you." Everyone in the room stood still and scared I said "so he would kill all of those innocent people, because of his poor health. Thinking if he bathed in the blood of the youth then he would be able to recover and live a long life." Naru then said "Everyone pack now we are leaving." I looked at him with anger "we can't leave what about the others that went missing are you crazy!" He looked at me with anger but I still kept my ground "Naru are you crazy we can't go!" He then yelled "we can't do anything, I specialize in ghost. I don't know how to hunt monster unless any of you do. Besides we did what I needed to and that was exposing the fraud like we did earlier today." All of them froze, remembering that awkward encounter today. "This is far too dangerous we are leaving. Madoka gave me this particular assignment just for that reason alone and we are done." Soon after I found myself back in the room, I slowly packed my things and I sighed in defeat. "Just what are you to him, he calls you by his first name and you fight like a married couple." Masako said. I looked at her

"Masako not now please Naru is well Naru." I didn't know what to say I mean he did somethings that well, made me feel special. I closed my eyes for a sec and saw him but then Lin appeared. I shook my head, she sighed "I don't know what he sees in you." She walked out and I laid there in bed Lin out of nowhere appeared in my mind I mean we are just coworkers right? Ayako came from the rest room and said "well interesting discussion between you too." I looked at her "I guess." She then responded "Where is Masako" I flew out of bed and began to panic. Naru's word replayed in my mind, no one should ever be alone in this house. I opened the door and whispered "in the hall." My heart skipped a beat while my blood went cold screaming bloody murder. "Damn it I should have not let her go alone!" Ayako and I ran down to the base and we said "Masako vanished!" the lights shut down I jumped off my feet and said "what's going on?" Monk then said "listen!" then screams of pain and anguish began to ring within the walls of the room. The lights flickered on then Monk says "break into pairs and let's look around for Masako." We went up and down the halls of the labyrinth like mansion and no site of Masako. I began to feel dizzy and wobble, as we began to approach the base Naru and Lin appeared around the corner. "Anything" Naru asked. I shook my head making my head spin even more, Bad idea Mai. I then I began to fall forward, I felt warm arms around me someone cried out my name.

*Dream mode*

I wandered the halls I once again saw the green door I was afraid to go in "Please not again I don't want to die again!" I saw Naru and he pointed to the door, I slowly walked over and the door opened I heard stifled cries. I walked in saw blood on the table I choked a scream. I then saw Masako sitting on the floor crying "Masako!" I ran over and then she said "I'm dead Aren't I." I shook my head "no you are not you are alive and we are going to find you trust me you are not dead!" she looked at me and saw a glimmer of hope in her eyes then I pulled a key out my pocket "Look hold this tight in your hands you can feel it right!" she nodded and wiped the tears with her hand the one not holding the key. I began to fade as I heard a voice "I will find you trust me hold on to that key you are no dead I will find you! I promise!" I then heard a voice "…ai… Ma… Mai!"

*End dream mode*

I slowly opened my eyes in noticed I was in Lin's arms and we were at the base, Ayako sighed in relief "thank god you are alright" I smiled a weak smile at Ayako, "how long was I out?" "Not long" I noticed I was in Lin's arms and I couldn't help but feel my face heat up. He helped me up as proceeded to say "I saw Masako she is alive somewhere within the house!"

"Okay Naru the map." We proceeded to look at the map and everyone noticed that there was a space that was sealed off. "Everyone we need to take out that wall!" Naru gave the men the heavy equipment and began slamming away until finally the wall collapsed and saw another door, Naru walked up opening leading to some passage way, my heart pounded I knew where we were I saw it in my dream. I dashed on forward I heard Monk shout my name and I flew down the hall and up to find the dreaded green door. I opened and looked around. The blood soaked the floor and walls, the smell of death lingered in the air. I then hear a whimper "Masako?" I heard a sigh of relief "Mai!" I looked over and ran over to her side tripping my way there but I grabbed on to a metal table. I felt something cold seep onto the sleeve of my green jacket "Masako you ok?" she nodded she stood up and said "what's that on your arm?" I looked and stifled a cry "Blood." I threw off my jacket revealing red tank top, black short with white sneakers. "Let's go!" we began to run out until we heard bubbling we froze and turned and saw a figure rise we backed away slowly until we were pulled our backs against the wall.

I tried to pull free from his assistant's hand that had come through the wall. He then began to approach Masako, she looked away eyes closed shut. I grew angry and yelled "stay away from her you ugly thing!" He flashed his rotten teeth at me as if he was smiling; I caught his attention and proceeded to walk towards me. He then smelt my hair I cringed in fear I closed my eyes I felt his breath against my neck I then whispered "someone help." Somewhere deep in my tiny thoughts my mind just shouted a name, Lin. I then heard a high pitched sound break through the air, I opened my eyes. A flash of white lights flashed pass me hitting Urado. "Lin!" Naru also appeared as well right behind him, with the rest of SPR. All of us ran down the dark hall trying to get away of Urado. Along the way I tripped causing me to hit the ground.

I felt the ground shake beneath me as part of house began to collapse I felt Lin's hand around me and he pulled me along while Naru lead Masako out. Naru then said "Let's get out of here!" Monk busted open a window evacuating everyone in the team safely. "Mai thank you." Masako then handed me a key, my eyes balls almost flew out of my head. "NO WAY!" "I thought I gave you that in my dream!" "First astral projection and now clairvoyance you are really making your way up the ranks Mai" Monk said. "Oh please" I said. The sun was rising; this was one of the most horrifying cases that I think we have dealt with. Naru gave them specifics of the case and how this could be handled properly.

Now Back at headquarters on the newspaper the mansion we visited was burnt down. The aticle for the case was the headliner this morning, that article was way too short. I served Naru his Tea and he threw the Newspaper on the ground and I heard the door open and I smiled "how can we help you."

Well sorry it took me a while I was having a hard time sorry of somethings don't make sense I have a lot of things going on and school band camp orchestra a lot sorry I will update fast as I can and that goes for the other fics.

2018 EDIT- OH MY GOD FOR THOSE WHO READ THIS CONFUSING TRASH. BLESS YOUR HEART, UGH I DECIDED I NEED TO GO BACK AND EDIT THE HELL OUT OF THIS. THIS STILL ISNT THE GREATEST I COULD SEE I RUSHED THESE WHAT? 3 EPISODES? IN THIS ONE THING TO GET THE STORY STARTED. BOY I AM SO SORRY, SECOND I DID THE BEST I COULD TRYING TO FIX THIS CHAPTER I THINK ITS OKAY NOW SOMEWHAT. ANYWAYS THANK YOU FOR TAKING THE TIME TO READ THIS AND FAV AND EVERYTHING. SO OFFICIALLY I WILL BE GOING BACK MAKING SOME EDITS TO THE BEST I CAN POSSIBLY CAN. I DO HAVE OTHER FICS BESIDES THE ONES HERE I HAVE BEEN WORKING/EDITING EXAMPLE ON WATTPAD. BUT TO END MY RANT THANK YOU ALL.
