Mara groaned as she flopped back onto her bed, closing her eyes in the process. She tried to think of the proper words to use for her article that she was writing but she couldn't. Something was missing. Letting out a breath that vibrated against her lips, she opened her eyes once more, jumping when she saw Jerome standing over her.
"That was a very attractive noise you just made" He laughed and she rolled her eyes, sitting properly on the bed again.
"What are you doing here?" She asked "I thought you had detention"
"I did, Sweetie let me out early" he replied
"That's good" she smiled
"Indeed because I have more time to do this" he leaned down closer to her and kissed her lightly on the lips.
She smiled as he pulled away "I missed you"
"You saw me an hour ago" he stated
"Yeah, but… Shut up!" she said as he grinned at her.
He let out another laugh before kissing her again but she pulled away.
"No, I have to finish this article I'm writing" She said getting her laptop that was placed at the foot of the bed
"Okay, what's it about?" He asked, peering over her shoulder as Mara tried to type.
"Nothing!" she tried to cover the screen from him
"Oh, now I have to see it" Jerome grinned, making an attempt to grab the laptop
"No, Jerome!" Mara said as she closed the laptop and held it to her chest
"Don't make me tickle you, Jaffray" He tickled her sides and Mara tried to suppressed her giggles but it didn't work. Jerome still couldn't get a hold off of the laptop. "Maybe you need a break."
"A break?" She arched an eyebrow as she got over her laughter. "I can't, the deadlines tomorrow"
"Come on, just a few minutes" He said
"Jerome–" She was cut off by his lips merging with hers. "Okay, maybe five minutes"
He grinned and moved the laptop aside as he hovered above her and continued to kiss down her jaw to her neck. He started to kiss back up and when she thought he was going to kiss her lips again, he stopped. Her eyes fluttered open and she saw him with her laptop.
"Jerome!" She yelled but he was already reading. She rolled her eyes and let out a sigh and she gave up and just allowed him to continue reading, nervous on what his reactions would be.
"T-this is about us" Jerome said softly as he turned to Mara, who was blushing a deep shade of pink
"Well, yeah…" she looked down
"Why?" He asked "I mean, why write an article about us, about our fights"
"I-I I just wanted to show people that a relationship doesn't have to be perfect" she explained "Couples fight and have trouble, it isn't always paradise and that the fights don't matter as long as you love each other"
She was still looking down, cheeks burning red and Jerome looked at her for a moment before using his index finger to making her look at him.
"This is amazing" he whispered
"Really?" she asked
"Yes, really" He smiled "This is brilliant"
"Thanks" she returned the smile
"Is this article all about us?"
"Most of it, there's a few things there about Patricia and Eddie"
"Patricia and Eddie?"
"Yeah, the love-hate relationship" She said
"Ah"
"You really like it?" she asked again
"Of course I do" he reassured her. "You don't believe me do you?" he laughed; he could see the doubt in her eyes. "Jaffray, this is amazing. You're amazing"
Mara blushed again and smiled "Thanks"
"You're very welcome, Jaffray" he said before leaning and kissing her.
"I love you"
"I love you too"
Kung inaakala mo
Ang pag-ibig ko'y magbabago
Itaga mo sa bato
Dumaan man ang maraming pasko
Kahit na kumulubot ang balat
Kahit na hirap ka nang dumilat
Kahit na di mo na abot ang sahig
Kahit na di mo na ako marinig
Ikaw parin (ikaw pa rin)
Ang buhay ko.
