Way onto way to the west I am flying
Wings on my heart urge me on o'er the sky
In the arms of the one who's reckless affection
Has wrought such a distance between you and I
"What would James think about this Moony? We just can't, it won't work..." Sirius hung his head low and closed his eyes. After four years of longing, Remus had confessed that he wanted Sirius. But why now? It was seventh year and they were just about to graduate. The time of experimentation was over and Remus much to Sirius's heartbreak was going to have a prearranged marriage.
"I couldn't care less what James thinks!" Remus replied, almost savagely. The full moon was close. "Nor her either! Sirius, I want you. I love you." His amber eyes glittered with defiance as they stared into the deep fathoms of Sirius's dark eyes. Remus leaned his lips forward and kissed the other boy but, no sooner had they barely touched, he pulled away. Turning his back on the black haired boy, Remus blushed and mumbled, "I'm sorry. I know you didn't want me to do that."
Sirius's mouth went dry. "You--You don't understand!" He said hoarsely. "I did-- I do! But, gods, Remus... We can't. Don't you see that? Alicia would be heart broken. She loves you." What was he saying? Sirius searched desperately for the words that he longed to tell Remus but he couldn't find them.
"I don't love her though." Remus whispered, barely audibly.
Sirius couldn't stand it. It felt like his heart was breaking. "But... Maybe you could, y'know. Over time!"
"No. No, Sirius. I'll never love her." Remus finally turned and face him. Sirius took a step closer to him and slipped his arms around his far-too-thin body. He leaned down and kissed him, running his soft, wet tongue over the amber-eyed boys chapped lips. Remus surrendered to the kiss and parted his lips. Closing his eyes, Sirius drove his tongue into the other boy's mouth but Remus pulled away. Trembling, he tried to break free of Sirius's grasp, as if he was afraid. But Sirius was strong and now that he had kissed Moony, he would never let him go.
"Calm down, Moony." He said soothingly. "It's all right."
"I know! It's more than all right... It's perfect. But I'm scared." Remus said and leaned into the crevice between Sirius's neck and shoulder. He kissed the delicate skin.
"It's okay to be scared. I'm a little frightened myself. Just hold onto me." Sirius said and kissed his hair. "Just hold onto me."
Remus pulled away and sat down on his bed. "I love you." He said, quickly and searched Sirius's eyes for reciprocation.
Sirius grinned and repied, "I love you more."
Remus let out a relieved sigh and smiled, truly happy for one of the first times in his life. Sirius slid onto the bed next to him and removed his shirt. When he reached for Remus's, the boy brushed his hand away. Sirius made a low howling noise and tilted his head to one side.
"I'm scared. I've never... No one's ever..." Remus stammered. Sirius shook his head and kissed him, removing his T-shirt. It revealed a pale skinny torso, covered in scars from many full moon transformations.
Sirius looked directly into Remus's eyes and said, "You're beautiful."
Remus closed his eyes and turned his head away but Sirius repeated it, "You're beautiful. You're beautiful, Remus!" He grinned and found Remus's lips.
And as he dimmed the lights with his wand, Sirius closed the curtains of the bed.
