A/N this is a one shot the Doctor wrote Amy a letter to say goodbye warning spoilers for Angels Take Manhattan. Also it might be just a little sad

Amy and Rory were sitting in the sitting room of their house in New York. Amy was finishing the after word for Melody Malone, while Rory was playing with little Anthony the baby they had adopted. When suddenly there was knock on the door. Amy got up and answered it, opening the door Amy found a man standing there holding a letter, "Are you Amelia Williams?" he asked nervously.
"I am" She said kindly. The man nodded and held out the letter, "I was told to deliver this to Amelia Williams on this date." Amy took the letter and thanked the man who was already halfway down the path.
Closing the door she went back into the sitting room where Rory was still playing with Anthony,
"Who was that?" Rory asked looking up, "Not sure he gave me this letter and ran off" Amy said shrugging sitting down on the sofa, "Who's the letter from?" He asked. Amy shrugged again, "Let's find out." She said tearing open the envelope, and pulled out the heavy stationary inside.

Dear Pond
I said we could never see each other again, but nobody ever said we couldn't write. So here goes this a daft old man's way of saying goodbye.
If my timing's right you'll have just adopted Anthony a few weeks ago, lovely boy your Anthony. But I haven't written to tell you things you already know. I'm trying to do what you told me, I'm trying not to be alone, but it's so hard to find someone who can stand up to you, and Rory the Roman. I found one her name was Clara, but I lost her before we even left earth. You would have loved Clara she had such spunk, nowhere near as much as you did Pond, but she had spunk. On another note I haven't seen River since that day in New York. She wouldn't come with me she said that "There could only be one psychopath per TARDIS." though maybe by the time you get this letter I may have you never can tell. I miss you Pond you and Rory I wish I could just pop in for a visit like I used to. But I can't, but what I can do is tell you this.
Have a good life don't let this daft old man and his magic box keep you from doing that, have a fantastic life with Rory and your son. I hope you're happy, because that is all I ever really wanted for you, was for you to be happy. But do me a favor won't you, sometime in November of 1930 you'll hear about strange disappearances, don't go investigate, but sometime after you here about giant pepper pots look for a woman named Tallulah and her boyfriend Lazlo, you have something in common, you both had your lives irreparably changed by me. Oh and tell Rory not to do any work on the Empire State building, none at all.
I think I've gotten off topic, but what I really wanted to say was, bye bye Pond.
Love always your Raggedy Doctor.

Amy felt tear's streaming down her face as she read the last few lines. "Amy are you okay?" asked Rory coming over. Amy nodded and gave Rory a sad smile and held out the letter so he could read it as soon as he had read the first line he wrapped his arms around Amy and held her as she cried for her Raggedy Man.
