Keep Holding On
Another Hunger Games fic. This story is about how Katniss' boyfriend Gale leaves her and she doesn't see a reason to live anymore as it hurts to much. But Peeta is there for her. Don't let your kids read this if you know what's good for them.
This story is dedicated to one of my best friends. Her boyfriend left her and she is a mess. This is dedicated to you sweetheart. May everything go well to you my sweet angel of darkness.
She was alone in her house.
Her former boyfriend Gale had packed his stuff and left. And left her broken and alone.
She had so much pain. And life seemed so unfair and pointless. She had given everything to him. When he wanted to have supplies she got them for him. When he wanted to have sex she gave herself to him.
And now he was gone. Taking everything she loved, and he wasn't coming back.
She however hoped she would. She had stared at the door for hours. Hoping that he would return, take her in his arms and say sorry. Then they would kiss and have another passionate night.
She cried.
And then the door busted open.
Peeta, the baker boy saw her crying, closed the door immediately and ran towards her. "Katniss what happened?" he asked her. Holding her close to him.
"Gale…he left…me…I want him…back" she whimpered, sobbing uncontrollably.
When Peeta heard this he wanted to run after Gale and personally show him what he thought about him. But Katniss needed him. "It will be alright, don't worry" he tried to assure her. But she said "no. I screwed up this relationship, I screwed everything up. I wasn't good enough for him" hearing this just broke Peeta's heart.
"You did nothing wrong. He has done this all, he is the one to blame" Peeta said to her. Kneading her arm softly.
Katniss released herself from his grip.
"No he left because I wasn't good enough, because I couldn't satisfy his needs. I can better end everyone's misery" she said.
Peeta grabbed her arm, pulled her close and kissed her without warning.
After a while he left her lips and said "your going to listen to me now. You never did anything wrong, he left you and there is nothing you can do about it. Don't set your hope on one men, there are plenty other fish in the sea. There will be one that truly loves you, who cares for you. Like me…I love you Katniss, more then Gale ever could. To me you're a woman I can love for all eternity knowing you will always love me back. Forget Gale and focus on a man who loves you, not someone who just uses you."
Katniss could feel his words piercing right trough her. Was he right? She thought maybe he was.
And she kissed him.
"Keep holding on to me Katniss, I will never let go" he said.
I hoped it touched you all. I'm truly sad that the woman who I am so close to has to go trough this. My apologies about my rant and if this story isn't good, I just hope people out there will understand her pain and suffering. As much as I do.
