Intro
The ship swayed uncontrollably as if the helmsman seemed to anger it. Each unsuspecting wave crashed upon the deck, sweeping up crew and passengers alike. The sailors hurried over to the engine room in a weak attempt to keep the ship stable. It was not the engine fault, however. Welcome to Navagation Douce. It is one of the most renown cruise ships in the world. It was on one of it's normal routes with it's most normal, higher class customers.
Inside one of the rooms, a group of teenagers were furiously going through their bags.
"We need to get out of here!", one yelled as he grabbed his inhaler. The teenager had black hair filled with spikes. He had a more pale completion, but he was pretty tall. He was also very scrawny, more of the tall and lanky type.
"Chill, Laux." The answer came from the closet as someone was in there looking for things as well. This person was named Dart. He had reddish hair that cascaded passed his shoulders. He was about average height and build. He wore a black leather jacket with black denim jeans to match. He had a serious look on his face as he grabbed a necklace out of the closet and slid it into his pocket. "We have to get going.", he added as he looked over to the rest of the group.
The group contained three boys, including Dart and Laux, and four girls.
One of the females, Rose, reached for the door handle as soon as she heard this. She was also pale like Laux, and also had long black hair which was way longer than Dart's. When she opened the door, she could see people running through the hallways, pushing and shoving to get to the top of the staircase. With the ship moving the way it was, it didn't help much at all.
Laux jumped in front of the door, and turned back to the crew. "Let's hurry and get out. Follow me. We need to get one of those escape boats." After gaining a few nods from the group, he ran. There were so many people in the way, that it was a good idea to let Laux lead. He was the tallest, after all. The group continued to run down the narrow hallways, everyone else were still pushing and shoving to reach the deck.
As Laux reached the deck, his eyes shot open. There was some sort of creature attacking various people on the deck. It seemed to be a giant snake. The small amount of blue scales trailed on the upper portion of it's body, leading to a softer lower body. The only thing different from most snakes was the small pair of wings the monster had. They too shared the same blue color as the snake itself.
"Let's go!", Laux yelled to the group as he pointed to a small portion of the ship. There were a few escape boats left.
"Alrig-", Dart managed to say before the monster slid under the boat, and flipped it. The teenager tried to hold his ground, but there was not enough time or room as the ship began to float on the water face down.
