Drabble, Drabble, and more Drabble...
This is the first of my series of drabbles and poems. Originally, Death by Birth, Sleep by Awakening was in my story, Kingdom Hearts:Birth by Sleep Zero, and I thought that I should put it up on Fanfiction so that people can read it without having to search throughout my fanfic. This poem was created one night when I was extremely bored. Laying on my bed, I decided to write. I turned on my mp3 player to Deep River by Utada Hikaru and grabbed a pencil and a notebook. I don't even know where this poem came from;I wrote whatever came to mind. The one character that this poem speaks of can be chosen, but I personally thought of it being as Terra from Kingdom Hearts:Birth by Sleep, which is due for Japan somewhere within 2009 on the PSP. This is the poem in its original form, for if you look at the one in my story you can tell it's probably slightly different. Anyways, please enjoy my first poem, Death by Birth, Sleep by Awakening.
DISCLAIMER:Everything Kingdom Hearts related is owned solely by Tetsuya Nomura, Disney, and Square-Enix.
Death by Birth, Sleep by Awakening
Waiting, waiting, waiting.
Waiting for my inevitable fate, depressing me of happiness at every turn I took.
I knew what would happen; I knew that ever since I risked it.
What did I risk, you ask?
I know, and I don't know; that is the real question.
Questions? What are questions?
Are they searches for truth? Or are they ways to clog your heart and soul with fake truth?
Both, probably.
Everywhere I turned, I was there, and I wasn't.
Yes or no?
My inability to see what was coming sealed my fate.
Destiny or Fate?
What's the difference?
I looked ahead too late.
The wind howls, mourning over the future it sees.
My Future, My End.
Your Past, Your Beginning.
Beginning? End?
Your End is Awakening, your Beginning is Death. My End is Sleep, my Beginning is Birth.
-Death by Awakening-
-Sleep by Birth-
Two very similar things if reversed:
-Awakening by Death, Birth by Sleep-
Birth is your Awakening, Death is my Sleep.
Your Awakening is my Death,
And my Sleep is your Birth.
NOTE: If you're like me, then this poem is very confusing to you as well. I do know what it means, but I had to think about it for at least a month. Sadly, I cannot tell you because it would ruin Birth by Sleep Zero by spoiling it. Please do review this poem and tell me what I need to improve on and what you think it means. I hope to make a drabble next, instead of a terribly confusing poem.:)
