As Regina walked into the library she headed towards the reception desk still not seeing anyone. As she was making her way to the front desk she spotted the children's' section and decided to go over there and check it out. Once she got over there one book stood out to her in particular, an Elmo book that she used to read with Henry when he was five back when he loved her Regina thought. She went to go sit in the light blue bean bag chair in the corner and read the book. She slowly went through the pages one by one reading them carefully as the memories came back to her until she got to one page, the Cookie Monster page. When she got to the Cookie Monster page tears filled her eyes and roll down her face. It reminded her of a little tradition that she used to do with Henry when she would bake Snicker doodle cookies with extra cinnamon in them, Henry's favorite and munch on them going "Mnmmnm Mnmnmn Mnnmnmm" every time he appeared on the page.
As Regina was crying Belle entered the library like she planned at precisely 8 am when she heard a soft cry from the children's corner she was reorganizing. "Hello anyone in here?" Belle asked as she was walking towards the kids section. When she arrived to her surprise it was Regina. "Are you ok?" Belle asked as she went to go sit next to Regina. Regina looked up not realizing that Belle entered the library and replied "Oh, I'm sorry I didn't mean to disturb you. I'll leave." as she wiped a tear from her eye. Belle examined Regina a little closer and saw that she was truly hurting and said "No honestly stay, do you want to talk? I'm all ears" before Regina went to get up. Regina just stopped for a second and stared at her in disbelief "Why would you want to help me?" Regina asked "I locked you up in a prison for most of your life and kept you from Rumpelstiltskin" Belle just gave her a reassuring look followed by a soft giggle until she finally said "Yeah I remember. How could I forget?" Regina just looked at Belle with a guilty and apologetic look not knowing what to say until Belle finished her statement saying "But just because you did bad things in you past it doesn't mean you're a bad person" Regina just looks up Belle saying "Actually it does" with a look of disappointment in her eye. Belle just looks at her and can see that Regina's on the brink of tears again so she careful chooses what she's going to say next. "I'll tell you what" Belle said "Let's go out and grab a bite to eat from Granny's and then we can talk, Ok?" Belle said as she helped Regina get up. "Oh and by the way" she added "You do have a friend in me you know" Belle said to Regina as she grabbed her coat and walked out the door with Regina close behind her.
