Chapter One: The Big News

A/N: Hello guys, I've decided that I liked the story line but not the way it plays out, I want to make the story more interesting and exciting (and hopefully will allow me to be motivated to update more often) so yeah I hope you guys enjoy the re writes and thank you so much for all the support and comments you guys have given me.

"JANDRO" screamed Wren from the bottom of the stairs

"what?" He shouted back

"I'm going to meet Cath for a coffee and a catch up, I'll be an hour maybe an hour and a half"

"Okay, have a great time honey"

Wren threw on her jacket and walked out the door, after Cath and Wren graduated from UNL they have been carving an hour or two out of their busy schedules to have a catch up and see each other face to face rather than text or call each other on the phone, but to be there in the moment. Wren always felt a bit guilty that she only met up with Cath once a month, it seemed a fraction to the amount of time they used to spend together, in some ways though it was a blessing with Wren' s hectic schedule at her advertising company Avery Advertising and planning for her wedding in a couple of months, she supposed meeting with Cath more than once a month would be too much to handle. As Wren neared the coffee shop, they always met at, it was called snowflake and was a Simon Snow inspired coffee shop. Opening the door, Wren saw Cath sitting at a table with Coffee with cream and a cherry scone with clotted cream and Jam

"Hey, you" Wren said as she neared Cath, smiling at her twin

"Hey to you too' Cath replied smiling up at her sister, there was something different about Cath, admittedly Cath's hair was now at her chest rather than just below her shoulders and swapped out her purple target frames for some big squared brown ones, which was far more flattering on her, but none of these seemed to be the reason Cath was different

"So, do you want to order?" Cath asked waving her hand for a waitress to come over, once the waitress had come over

"hmmm, I think I'll go with a Pumpkin mocha breve with a pink gingerbread lady on the side" Wren said, looking up at the waitress and smiled at her, smiling back she turned to counter to place her order.

"Now that you've ordered, what has been going on in your life?" Cath asked, taking a sip of her coffee

"Nothing really, it is super hectic at work and wedding planning" Wren said still studying her sister's face she asked "What about you? Anything new?"

"well, um – ahem, well er Levi and I are engaged" Cath said beaming at me, the only word that popped into Wren's head was ecstatic

"But wait there's more" Cath continued "I am also three weeks pregnant"

"oh my god Cath, that's amazing, so when are you having the wedding?" Wren said, unable to stop smiling

"I think we are going to have it soon, so that I can have a flat – ish figure for the wedding" Cath explained

"sounds reasonable" Wren said, as the waitress came back with her Pumpkin mocha breve and pink gingerbread lady

"hey – here's an idea, let's have a joint wedding, that way you still have a flat figure and your married before the baby arrives" Wren suggested

"But your wedding is in a couple of weeks, I don't have a dress, or a cake and I don't have a maid of honour" Cath said looking worried (as usual) Wren noticed Cath's hand started to rip up the napkin

"we'll go dress and cake shopping tomorrow and ask Reagan or one of Levi's sisters to be the maid of honour" Wren said, as usual being the sane one

"really? That would be awesome, who would think that I've been engaged for a day and my wedding is in three weeks" Cath said, her smile was back again.

Wren and Cath talked a while more, ordering more drinks and food (all of which was delicious of course)

It was already starting to get dark when Cath and Wren left Snowflake.

The morning after meeting up with Wren Cath felt a surge of happiness sweep through her, she was getting married and in three weeks, Cath couldn't help but feel the timing was perfect. An autumn wedding, close family and friends and marrying the person she loved with her sister by her side. Cath turned over to look at her alarm clock on her bedside table, it was only 9:43 and Cath was supposed to be meeting Wren in town at 11:00, Cath debated getting up and ready, making breakfast etc. Or lying in bed with Levi, who was still fast asleep next to her, his arm around her stomach. The rumble in Cath's stomach let her first option win, carefully lifting up Levi's arm, so Cath didn't disturb his slumber and got ready for the day. Cath was in the kitchen making a cheese and ham omelette by the time Cath felt Levi's arms around her waist

"Morning gorgeous" He mumbled into her ear

"Morning handsome" Cath said, leaning into the hug, Cath flipped over the omelette and put on the plate and started all over again, to make her own breakfast. After Cath had eaten her breakfast and was waiting on Wren to text her that she was outside Cath's apartment, she decided to sit down at her laptop and write. Writing her own stories, has still been a struggle for Cath, especially the new worlds she creates, but like Professor Piper said in her freshman year authors don't have new worlds in them waiting to be written.

Cath's phone chimed. A message from Wren

Hey, just wanted to let you know that I can't make it this morning – problems at work again, anyways shall we reschedule for tomorrow?

Cath's heart sank to her stomach, she knew that Wren was super busy running her own advertising company and all of that malarkey, but Cath couldn't help feeling lonely without her sister but her side. She missed hanging out with Wren whenever she wanted, instead of pencilling in a time and place when Cath could see her own sister. Cath knew in her hearts of hearts she was being selfish, and she should be supporting her sister, but at what cost? She pretends everything is fine and being all supportive and desperately lonely, yeah, she had Levi and she loved Levi, but Levi wasn't Wren and at the moment all Cath wanted is Wren.

A/N: so that is the first re written chapter – I hoped you enjoyed and feel like the story is easier to read and has a bit more substance (in my opinion it does but hey, I'm bias)

See you in Chapter Two
