Re-write of scene from 02x12

"Our dead people had different families, and had different jobs," Audrey explained, taking the seat next to Nathan's at his desk.
"One died of natural causes," he added, "the other committed suicide."
"One was Catholic and the other was Agnostic."

Nathan hesitantly looked from his computer to her, his eyes involuntarily moving to her lips. The same ones that he had felt less than forty-eight hours earlier. When she felt his eyes on her, Audrey turned her head towards him, finding him looking back at the computer. Her eyes travelling down she noticed there was barely centimeters between them, and that their knees were brushing. Hearing him murmur slightly, she stared at him for a moment longer before turning her gaze to the monitor in front of them.

"And, uh, they both had funeral services at different," having to take to a moment to still the small childish butterflies that were sending her stomach in circles, Audrey let out a breath, "different churches."
"But, both were buried at-"
"Eastside cemetery."

They both went silent for a moment, both of them looking at each other nervously before looking away. Nathan's finger nudged her face to look back at him as he reverted his gaze back to her. Inching towards her he stopped when his lips were hovering above hers and his eyes were subconsciously slipping closed. When Audrey's hand lifted to his neck, he nudged his head forward enough to capture her lips with his own.

A hand wandered to her waist, her spare hand moving to pull him closer with a hand cupping the side of his face. It was this blissful moment of need and want and everything in between before Nathan pulled away slowly.

"Uh," his eyes opened, to find her smiling shyly.
"I uh, I should."
"Yeah, sure."
"No I'll."

He watched her stutter, before lifting paperwork off the table and standing up, walking away with the small smile still on her face. His eyes followed her as she walked away, the smile on his face broadening as he did.

Never would he get over the feel of Audrey Parker on his lips, and he hoped he never did.

So this happened, because I needed something to write while I cried over Flashpoint. But seriously. They were totally staring at each other's lips in this episode!

Still not over the season finale, but Haven was renewed for a fourth, so we know that everything will get better c:

OCish, but that's what you get for a drabblish re-write c:
