Prompt: That's When I'll Stop Loving You (N'Sync)
Emily found herself working late again and she glanced up at Aaron's office. A soft smile crossed upon her lips as she saw him with his head bent down over what she was sure were files. She looked back down at the last file on her desk and quickly went through it and made sure she signed everything that need to be signed. Once she was done she grabbed the files and headed to Aaron's office.
She knocked on the door and then walked in and over to his desk and set the files on it. "Here you are Aaron."
Aaron looked up from the file he was looking over and gave Emily a smile. "Thank you Emily."
Emily smiled and shook her head. "I was just doing what I needed to do. How late are you working tonight? Do you want to come over when you're finished?"
Aaron looked into Emily's eyes and saw something there he had never seen there before. "I would but it will probably be late when I'm finished. I don't have a set time to be home tonight since Dave and JJ have Jack over for the night so he can play with Henry. Was there something you needed or wanted?"
Emily shook her head but then nodded. "Actually I wanted to talk to you but I can talk to you here. I love you Aaron and when I saw that I mean I'm in love with you. I know that you probably don't feel the same way but I couldn't keep these feelings inside of myself any longer. I needed for you to know how I felt."
Aaron shut the file on his desk slowly and deliberately and then stood up and walked around his desk and over to where Emily was standing. "I want you to understand something Emily. When I say what I am about to say it is not because I feel obligated to or because I don't want to hurt your feelings. I have loved you for years and years but until recently I didn't realize just how much I loved you. I have loved you since I met you when you were just a girl at sixteen years of age and I will love you until I take my last breath and they put me in the ground. That's when I'll stop loving you and not a second before. Although honestly I'm not even sure I'll stop loving you when I'm dead and buried."
Emily felt as if she was floating on air as she looked into Aaron's eyes and saw the truth sparkling there. She didn't say anything back to him because really what could she say. Instead she threw her arms around him and pulled his head down for a scorching kiss.
