It's a silent day in Hiro Hamada's room. He can hear the noisy crickets chirping and the subtle glow of the stars as they shine across the San Fransokyo city scape. Hiro has been feeling pretty isolated from his brother's passing, so to alleviate this void, he starts his very own blog website, where every month, he records a video of himself talking about his life to the rest of the connected world. Without any future need for typing, Hiro had already created himself an automatic caption tool that can display subtitles based on what he says and it also generates a transcript beneath the video automatically so that people can comprehend what he was trying to express.

For him, a feat to this extent seems perfectly normal, but secretly, he wonders...

"Why don't other people my age do this type of thing? I try to tell my friends that they could start designing their own website, building their own robot, publishing an app to the Tapple Play store, but then they look at me with so much disbelief, making it seem as if those feats where comparable to shooting fire out of your bare hands or teleporting to the other side of the world."

Hiro continued to build his blog website, with graphical user interfaces organized in such holographic resolutions and spatial dimensions that one would've thought it was performed by an absolute professional.

January of 2025:

Hey, guys! What's up? It's me, Hiro Hamada. It has been a while since Baymax, my brother's friends, and I put a stop to Callaghan's evil ways. Since then, we've been using our talents, skills, and efforts into creating innovative technology that can benefit the people around us! Fred is enjoying his role as a fire-breathing monster, entertaining many people through his shows; they're actually quite popular in San Fransokyo. GoGo is starting a business that manufactures motorcycles that can run at unparalleled, supersonic speeds! Wasabi is working as a construction engineer, using his laser technology to cut through the hardest minerals known to man, and Honey Lemon calls her current hobby, "growing sweets". She has been making candies using ingredients and chemicals. When you just add in a tiny amount of water, they can grow up to ten times its original size! I tried it, and trust me, one piece of candy is all you need to get a BIG sugar rush, heh. As for me? Well you know, I'm still attending my brother's university, but I'm surprised as to how much more I could still learn about robotics and even technology in general! I am currently taking courses related to teleportation, full-immersion VR and AR, swarm robotics, and claytronics! I had just started attending this school on the spring term of 2025. Man, all these opportunities keep popping up for me, and I can't wait to be an influential robotics engineer in the future! Thanks for watching, everyone! I'll see you all later!

February of 2025:

Sigh... Lately I have been getting picked on by a bunch of guys from the Physical Educational Department (PED). They keep saying things like "You're a nerd with no life!" or "You will always be an ugly, lonely geek!" It really does get to me at times, and sometimes I wonder if I should continue my education here. I tried reporting these individuals to the Justice Department (JD), but they refuse to acknowledge the fact that I'm a student here because of my age. I even showed them my student ID card but no! Gosh, I've been getting harassed, teased, and bullied and no one is even giving me a helping hand? What a load of bull... I try to ignore these animals, but they just say even worse things to me. I tell them to stop and they laugh! Seriously?! Why must they do this to me? Why must they bully me?! Sorry for the rant, guys. I hope you all had a good month… Bye.

Ever since Hiro released his second blog post, he has been feeling discouraged at school. His grades are falling and his motivation depleting. His bullies' typical weapon of choice used to be verbal insults, but it quickly evolved into something much more deadly: physical assault. For Hiro, that was the last straw… Hiro was thinking to himself,

"Every single day, I am getting bruised from my shoulders to my chest… I'm constantly being told I'm a worthless piece of junk with their bad breath making me almost puke. This is getting really tiring really fast, and I can't take it anymore. I don't deserve to be treated like crud!"

After getting home from college, he called his aunt. "Aunt Cass! I need to talk to you about something serious!" Aunt Cass was quite startled, for Hiro never really was the type of kid who shared his feelings easily, even to Baymax, who already knows him better than that based on his scans of Hiro. Aunt Cass walks over to the exhausted boy with hesitated compassion. "What is it, Hiro? Is something wrong?" Hiro replies in an honest and firm manner "I am being horribly bullied at school and I'm not quite sure how I can handle it any further…" Hiro takes off his dark blue jacket to show the scars that he has been hiding; scars which were previously only visible to him and his robot friend. Aunt Cass's face showed signs of fear and despair, with grief-deprived tears streaming down her face. She covered her mouth with her hands, as if trying to contain an explosion inside of her from blowing off.

"Oh my God! That looks horrible! Why in the world didn't you tell me about this sooner?! Does Baymax know that you're hurt? Have you told your friends yet?"

Hiro replies with the most shameful look on his face and his emotional dam is starting to break apart. "Only Baymax knows and he suggests that I tell someone about what happened. I… I…" Hiro's face became the emotional dam; tears were streaming down his face uncontrollably, and pretty soon, "Why does this have to happen to me?!" Hiro yelled as he leaned his face against the wall and began to sob.

To be continued…
