Author's Note: So here I am with another oneshot for my Darlin's Valentine's Prompt list. I know that I am posting a lot but it is their faults that they picked such good song titles. I am going to try a different pairing so I hope that you all will like this story.

Prompt: The Woman He Loves (Alabama)
Derek looked across the conference room table at the woman he loves. He wanted so badly to tell her how he felt but he was scared of putting himself out there. He knew that if he did put himself out there and that she didn't return the feelings that he felt towards her that his heart would break. As he looked into Penelope's eyes though he knew that he would tell her how he felt because he saw the love that he felt for her in her eyes for him.
He just had to think of the perfect way to tell her he loved her. He didn't just want to come right out and tell her. He wanted to make sure that he told her in a memorable way. Plus he really wanted to make it special for her and for himself since he has never once uttered those three words to any woman other than his sisters and his mother.
Yes he was truly in love with none other than the woman he called Goddess. If he were honest with himself he has loved her since the first time he ever laid eyes on her. Now he just had to come up with a plan to make sure that she knew just how much he loved her.
