I am the kind of person who doesn't believe that life can change in a minute. If it wasn't because of that exact ordinary day that became a whole tragedy and would mark us forever, I would still be that person. You see, just with a simple look, smile, or a frown, anything could make you pass from a stranger to a friend, maybe more than that, maybe even a victim. It was a perfectly nice day. The sky was blue, it was warm outside, and I got to hang out with my best friend. I woke up around ten, then get ready and leave to Melany's house. We wanted to go out of the city, to have a day out of the routine, to forget about the drama and have some fun. We don't hang out as we use used to, but we try our best to make our schedules work. We drove to Sally, a city that's 35 minutes away from our hometown. Then, we walked around the town for a while till we got tired, so we went to a café and talked for a long time. This two reaaally cute guys passed by, then they smiled at us. We just wanted a good time, so we invited them to hang out with us. We were having fun, yeah, but I felt strange. We went to a clothing store, then they went to the guys section and we went to our section, she looked happy.
- Hey Mel, I think we should leave now. - I whispered. She looked at me puzzled.
- I thought you wanted this - She replied - common now, we're having a nice time! - I knew she was right, but I felt like this was wrong.
- I don't know girl - She was staring to get annoyed. I felt uncomfortable.
- We're not kids anymore. We can do all what we want ! - She answered me. I was getting mad.
- Oh no! Stoop it, I know where this is going to take me !- I covered my ears like a little kid, I knew it looked dumb, but I didn't wanted to hear anymore.
- I just wanted to spend some time with you because we don't get to do this everyday anymore. But, if that's what you want, it's okay. I get it. I was just really excited to be with my friend.. - boom. There we go. She got me on that one.
- You know I haate when you do that ! Okay ! we'll stay - I replied all pissed off. She knows how to convince me. I hate it I hate it I haate it.
- I love yaaaa dude ! - she hugged me really hard. The guys came and we got out of the store. We were walking just hanging around, she looked happy but she noticed me being mad. I didn't felt secure in here. The guy that I was flirting with noticed me too. So I tried to smile and walk faster.
- So what do you girls want to do now? - My guy asked, his name was Mike.
- I don't know, we should go to a park or something, do you know of any close ? - Melany asked them. They exchanged looks and smiled, I thought that was either gay or a bad sign. Melany stared at me so I had to let it pass.
- Yup, there's one 20 minutes from here, let's go ? - Jake, the other guy said.
- Well, do you wanna go? You seem like you don't feel well - Mike asked me. I just looked at Melany and she was begging me trough her eyes.
- Sure, I'm fine, let's go - I answered. This wasn't fun anymore. In the way while they talked I was just thinking about other places we could go without them, and excuses to leave. We spent hours in there till my mom called. I felt relieved.
- Hey honey how are you guys doing ? I called because it's been a long time and I haven't heard anything form either of you. Are you okay ? - She sound worried. I just laughed, but if I wanted to get out of here, this was my opportunity..
